Commercial Description:
In the great beer producing country of Belgium, some brewers have made it a tradition to give their beers an unusual name. Sometimes the name is curious, now and then it is diabolical and other times it is just plain silly. Damnation is our brewmaster’s interpretation of a Belgian style Strong Golden Ale. It has extraordinary aromas of banana and pear with mouth filling flavors of sweet malt and earthy hops. The lingering finish is dry and slightly bitter but very, very smooth.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear light golden amber with an intense white head. Excellent lacing. Peppery floral nose. Medium body with an initial spiciness that gives way to a complex dry, semi-tart lingering finish.

Thanks to Beer_Hawk for this beer. A clar golden pour with a white foamy head but not out of character for the style. A corriander flavor bit of a dry lasting bitter flavor. Carbonation is good. The flavor is dry but very good. A beer I enjoyed very much. thanks steve

On tap at Toronado. Slightly hazy golden color with a thin white head. Aroma was of yeast, spices, some light citrus, and sugar. Flavors were sugary and spicy with a light citrus note and a bit of hoppiness toward the finish. Not too thick and heavy, pretty easy to drink quickly. Great stuff.

Enjoyed at the csbosox tasting 7/3. 750ml Bottle mail ordered from South Bay (Imperial Beach, CA). Pour is almost clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is earthy Belgian yeast with not much else. Taste is very smooth an drinkable, a nice light body that picks up depth as it warms. Very nice finish, clipped and clean.

Funky spicy pale aroma, peppery, and crisp malt. Dry and grassy, but not approaching tart or sour. Medium to full bodied, and it gives way to a tasty floral finish. Great beer!

Caged and corked; pours a golden orange with a fizzy-at-first, then staying thin head of fine head. Only a light aroma of spicy oranges. The flavor’s a little bit mroe robust, but still easy to absorb. Tart and cloying, a bit of yeast, and a crazy dry finish. Exceptionally well made, this is a mellower example of the goodness of the style. (#2999, 7/2/2007)

Bottle, Batch 12. Pours a straw yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is yeasty, spicey straw, persimmon, and a bit of alcohol. Flavor is pepper, lemon peel, and a bit of barnyard funk. Palate is surprisingly heavy, and could benefit from some add’l carbonation and/or attenuation to make it a bit "brighter".
