Aroma is of sweet malt, grass and fruitstuffs. Taste is sweet at first, then bitter and dry with an acidic and sour ending. Volgon (2487), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Oct 30, 2006 750ml bottle: Pours a hazy yellow with orange highlights, rich spicy aroma with light fruits (like lemon and banana) and hay and flowers, starts and ends lightly sweet with some acidity at the end, medium bodied with nice carbonation, ends dry and malty. bluevegie (2169), Perth, Australia Oct 30, 2006 Thanks to Kook. ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Oct 27, 2006 Yellow with a small white head. Some hay aromas, banana and a hint of alcohol. Slightly acid flavour. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Oct 26, 2006 Updated: Jul 19, 2007Well, this is certainly a nice golden strong ale. Spicy aroma but pretty tasty and would certainly have again. Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden Oct 21, 2006 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 6 Oct) Golden yellow colour with white head. Fruity nose, slightly acidic, with notes of tropical fruit and Anjou pears. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of pears and banana. Slightly fiery (goes with the name I suppose). Nice beer (and can I really resist a beer with the same name as an Opeth record? Probably not). rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Oct 17, 2006 [Bottled. SBWF, Stockholm]
Golden colour. Estery, spicy aroma. Good body with a fair amount of caramel. Balanced, yet with a super long bitterness. Almond paste. Herbs. Thick body.
