3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
My first interpretation of this beer is a light double or triple belgian golden ale. It smells of bananas and citrus and tastes of light crystal malts and earthy hops. The finish is medium bodied, and crisp or dry.

This was a very tasty and enjoyable beer. Had a nice sweetness. Looked great in the glass. Strong head and lacing with a pleasant aroma. Belgian blonde that you could tell had fruitiness. Tastes bananas more than pears. Smooth drink. Would definitely revisit any time the opportunity arose.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
375ml corked bottle. Belgian yeast aroma with notes of citrus, clove and wheat. Pours cloudy golden colored with a thin white head with poor retention and lacing. Starts with wheat and banana flavors with a pinch of citrus. Finishes smooth with Belgian yeast spiciness with clove, coriander and black pepper notes. Nice beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a slight cloudy yellow color with a banana aroma. Taste is floral with a fruit flavor. Minor spice in the beer, with a dry finish.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle to tulips glass. Pours clouded yellow-gold huge effervescence, snow-white frothy head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, clove, banana, pineapple, pear, orange spice and papaya. Taste of same with light sweet malts and fruity and spicy yeast/hop finish. Finish is semi-dry with medium syrupy mouthfeel. Pretty darn good for a Belgian...which is usually not my style.

Damn good beer. Drinks like a beer whose abv is around .5%. The spices on this one are top notch.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampler at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. Pale golden color with small white head. Yup, Duvel is an accurate description, just it?s way more complex: Bananas, spicy, slightly bitter, honey, vanilla, coriander. Full body, thick oily mouthfeel. An excellently brewed Belgian Mid-Strong Blonde!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from bottle 6/19. Was expensive but had to try it. Aroma of malt and alcohol. Golden amber, cloudy with a trace of head. Flavors of vanilla, cake, citrus (grapefruit), sweet bread, yeast, coriander, honey, pepper. Well balanced despite all that is going on here. This is a beer that you drink slowly to better enjoy the flavor. Finished well. Outstanding.

Clove and honey in aroma. Taste of a great Belgian with more cloves and some yeast. Flavor has a little tartness and some yeast.
