COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the great beer producing country of Belgium, some brewers have made it a tradition to give their beers an unusual name. Sometimes the name is curious, now and then it is diabolical and other times it is just plain silly. Damnation is our brewmaster’s interpretation of a Belgian style Strong Golden Ale. It has extraordinary aromas of banana and pear with mouth filling flavors of sweet malt and earthy hops. The lingering finish is dry and slightly bitter but very, very smooth.

Batch 077, 375ml into a tulip glass. A - Murky dark amber body. Massive fluffy off whit head. Great lacing and retention. S - Massive vegetal notes. Coriander, lemons, hay, grass, spices, Belgian yeast then...BAM...celery or something. Just has a very soup like aroma. T - Lemons, hay, and coriander spice with a large Belgian yeast spiciness. I’m still getting a large vegetal quality to it. Alcohol is noticeable. Mouth feel is spritzy and dry with a medium slightly coating mouth feel. O - I think its just the freshness of this beer. I was getting more vegetal and hard spice notes than anything. Hopefully I can try an aged one at some point.

translucent gold with lively effervescence and a big foamy white head. soft body with a bit of creaminess and medium-high carbonation.

aroma: bright stoney minerality, citrus flower hops, herbal hop bitterness, sweet pale malt.

taste: sweet pale malt, citrus flower hops, mild hop bitterness, and a lot of wild yeast character (snow boots).

malt and hop character are great, color and texture are perfect, but the yeast character ruins it.

This beer opens with an exciting pop of the cork reminiscent if opening a bottle of champagne. It has an aroma of apple. It has a clean not bitter flavor with notes if banana. It is very crisp but distinct in its flavor. A very good golden colored ale satisfies with its full flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

375 ml bottle from Campus West. Gold, pale and cloudy with a nice white head and patchy lacing. The aroma is fruity (bananas, pears, light citrus), earthy, Belgian yeast, bready malts and spices. Similar flavor, smooth, lightly bitter and crisp with some carbonation. Medium body with a clean feel and a lingering, dry, fruity finish. Easy to drink, the ABV is hidden well. Nice.

Attractive clear straw colour. A fairly unassuming Belgian ale; yeast flavor is the main attraction, but it’s not overpowering. Fairly light body, very sippable.

Interesting peppery palate with a nice Belgian yeast strain that profiles flavors of bubblegum, banana, and meyer lemon. Overall dry and crisp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
