Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 23, 2006 [Enjoyed in the train from open brewing day to Københavnske Øldage - huge thanks to MadsBerg for sharing] An unclear orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of alcohol, yeast, and peaches. The flavor is very sweet with notes of alcohol, yeast, peaches, and fresh grapes, with the big complexity the strong sweetness is leveled out. I like it. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 6, 2007 (On tap - Toronado) Hazy golden with a small, creamy, off-white head. Distinct aroma of yeast. Medium body, surprisingly light in body with some tartness. Distinct accents of yeast. The finish is dry and bitter. Very Belgian albeit very dry. 250307 omhper (12147), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 24, 2006 Bottled. Clear golden. Complex aroma including grassy hops, deep malt and almonds. Sweet and very soft. The velvetty softness gives the aromatic flavours a lot of room. Low bitterness. Very Belgian in style, not pumped up with direct flavours, but more laid back, and with a wonderful malt character. yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 23, 2009 From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a dense and white head. Aroma is light wheaty and estery. Fruity and wheaty flavoured. Mild citrusy hoppy and fruity. Ends slight citric and bitter. oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland Oct 3, 2006 Bottled. Hazy orange colour, foamy white head. Aroma is hops, caramel and sweet malts. Flavour is fruitish hoppy with slight hints of caramel and grass. Pleasant palate, even though it’s quite carbonated. joergen (8429), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 25, 2006 Bottle.

Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam May 26, 2005 Cloudy, effervescent golden with a billowy head. The richness of the gold colour cannot be understated here. Champagne-toasty aroma with pear esters. The body is full, the malts sweet as honey and well-rounded. Delightful spiciness backs them up with faint esters and peppery alcohol. A precision brew. I’d always suspected somebody could do this style as well as Moortgat...
