Appropriately named, this brew pours a golden copper color w/ a huge frothy expanion. Head retention is good and reduces to a full downy canopy w/ a lasting creamy lace. Tiny Champagne streamers persist. Aroma is a little mild for this genre but does have scents of creamy tropical malts. Medium full nectar w/ ample residual effers that feel like cotton on the palate. Flavors are fairly dry, green, and on the bitter side. A decent malt profile holds flavors of banana, vanilla, and some other tropicals. The finish is bittered better than well w/ flavors lingerng. Overall: this brew is bittered so much I couldn’t enjoy it. Tastes like green stems and seeds. The name says it all. joeycapps (1466), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 31, 2008 Bottle, batch 42. Aroma a delectable blend of sweet and tart citrus notes, orange, lemon, lemon zest, things of that nature, all citric. Flavor was more of a typical Belgian strong for me with a yeasty character and duller citrus notes. Great aroma, good otherwise. SoLan (1427), Orlando, Florida, USA

Not the best beer in the "dam nation" but it’s definitely a good one. Golden color with a medium white head. Aroma of banana, sweet malt, and yeast. Pale malt with Belgian ale yeast, banana, and spices. Very drinkable in mass quantities. Awesome for a kayaking trip on the Russian River.
