COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the great beer producing country of Belgium, some brewers have made it a tradition to give their beers an unusual name. Sometimes the name is curious, now and then it is diabolical and other times it is just plain silly. Damnation is our brewmaster’s interpretation of a Belgian style Strong Golden Ale. It has extraordinary aromas of banana and pear with mouth filling flavors of sweet malt and earthy hops. The lingering finish is dry and slightly bitter but very, very smooth.

Pours a hazy orange/gold with thick lacing. Aroma is sweet fruit, banana, clove and a little citrus. Taste has a big banana front with clove and Belgian yeast assisting as well. Finish is big and has a lingering sweet tart flavor.

Pours a hazy gold(makes sense being bottle refermented) with an average white head that slowly shrinks. Aroma is fruity esters, pears, apples, spicy phenols, and soft/perfumy alcohol. Flavour is fruity, pears, apples, spicy phenols, and moderate soft alcohol. Pretty tasty and goes down pretty easy though just short of a Belgian golden strong but is well rounded.

Thanks to cfrancis for this one. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a large dense frothy white head. Aroma of banana and pear with light spicy phenols. Taste is light cloves, sweet malts, earthy hops with a nice smooth spicy and hoppy finish. Excellent bpa with a great smooth finish.

Golden colored, white head. Aroma of some sweet grain almost? Taste is well, more of the same. Not really as impressive as I thought it would be.

Belgian yeast, banana, some grainy flavors. This tastes like a Tripel, which isn’t a style I’m particularly fond of.

Draught. Golden, slightly cloudy opaque pour with a thin off white head. Aroma of yeast, malt, cereal and sugar cookies. Medium bodied with a warming alcohol finish.

Another impressive RR beer. Duvel inspired with sweet heavy malts, full palate cover and good length. Good fizz. Bitter aniseed finish.

Bottle: Clear, golden, medium head and great lace. Very lifted malty nose. Intense. Clean. Esters and grain. Classic Belgium strong ale. Honey. Off dry, not sour and medium low bitterness. Dense flavor, even texture and medium long palate. Honey malt and banana palate. Such a classic Belgium ale profile.

Lemony yeasty earthy aroma. Flavor is lemongrass and Belgian yeast, with some slight sweetness. Light bubbly carbonation. A step above redemption, smooth and balanced, a good almost saison like beer without the funkiness of some saisons (this isn't a saison, but it has many saison qualities). Not as good as Russian River sours but a worthy beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
