Commercial Description:
In the great beer producing country of Belgium, some brewers have made it a tradition to give their beers an unusual name. Sometimes the name is curious, now and then it is diabolical and other times it is just plain silly. Damnation is our brewmaster’s interpretation of a Belgian style Strong Golden Ale. It has extraordinary aromas of banana and pear with mouth filling flavors of sweet malt and earthy hops. The lingering finish is dry and slightly bitter but very, very smooth.

On tap at RR. Fabulous! Pours a cloudy gold with a fine white head. Plenty of malty, yeasty aroma. Sweet, spicy flavor. Yeasty finish. Superb.

At first sip I didn’t like it; but by the end I was clearly a big fan. very complex with lots of breadiness some hints of fruit and bitterness. pleasantly refreshing and easy to drink. I really enjoyed it.

Batch 038, bought at the Brewery on the 6th, opened on the 7th. Nice light golden coler with minimal white head. Nose reminded me of melon, with a nice smooth taste with just a touch of sweetness. Excellent finish, overall a very fine ale.

Great Belgian ale here. Perfect nose, almost a tripel in smell. Pours a light brown with pillowy white head. A little sweet, but nothing overpowering. Very good beer.

Aroma: easters, banana, pears and spice. Pours clear golden with full fluffy white head, with nice champagne bubbles. Flavor: begins sweet and smooth pear, banana finish is dry and surprisingly hoppy. Medium to light body. Drinkability: medium to high. Very nice golden ale, easy to drink and would be nice during the hot summer months.

25 0z. bottle of batch 042...looked just like many belgian goldens ive had. had a silky and creamy mouthfeel but the head retention could have been a little better. aroma and flavor reminded me a bit of a saison, particularly because of the crisp dry hoppiness and hint of spiciness.

An enjoyable beer. Pours a nice cloudy yellow, with a much smaller head than I expected. Aroma is faintly fruity, with slight pear overtones. Flavor is much more mild than I was anticipating. The entire profile of the beer is understated, including the fruit aspects. Very balanced finish, with a bit of hop to it. Very nice.

On tap at Cooperstown. Clear pale yellow in color with a white head. Candi aroma. Smooth and malty flavor. Good beer. Interesting. Slight alcohol.
