Commercial Description:
In the great beer producing country of Belgium, some brewers have made it a tradition to give their beers an unusual name. Sometimes the name is curious, now and then it is diabolical and other times it is just plain silly. Damnation is our brewmaster’s interpretation of a Belgian style Strong Golden Ale. It has extraordinary aromas of banana and pear with mouth filling flavors of sweet malt and earthy hops. The lingering finish is dry and slightly bitter but very, very smooth.

Bottle, batch 41. Pours a cloudy deep orange with a small white head. Aroma of sweet melon, light fruits, and prickly spices. Flavor of tart citrus, lemon, melon, and light bitter hops. Nice mouthfeel- not as astringent and harsh as some Belgians. Nice BSA.

Bottle from Russian River. Not the best beer in the "dam nation" but it’s definitely a good one. Golden color with a medium white head. Aroma of banana, sweet malt, and yeast. Pale malt with Belgian ale yeast, banana, and spices. Very drinkable in mass quantities. Awesome for a kayaking trip on the Russian River.

Bottle, Batch 23 from South Day Drugs. Pours a dark golden caramel with thick and frothy one finger white head. Settles slowly and heavily laces the glass. Aroma is malty and spicy with notes of yeast, bread, white grapes, sweet honey and caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with biscuitiness, honey, caramel, some spice, ripe apple, some hints of pear. Generally medium to full body with notes of spice and caramel.

Poured golden and slightly hazy with a small white head. Nothing real special about the aroma. I smelled mostly honey and some fruityness, maybe peaches. Flavor was slightly fruity with a nice backbone of hops and yeast. Very drinkable, but has a dry finish.

Bottle. Thick off white head three fingers high. Aroma of bread and spice. Tastes like bread, spice, fruit, honey and a hint of bubblegum when cold. Very nice on a hot summer evening.

750ml bottle: Pours a hazy yellow with orange highlights, rich spicy aroma with light fruits (like lemon and banana) and hay and flowers, starts and ends lightly sweet with some acidity at the end, medium bodied with nice carbonation, ends dry and malty.

Bottle. Golden in colour. Aroma is citric, hoppy and yeasty. The palate shows some lively carbonation, with some citric yeastyness and some grassy hop notes, with a slightly warming, peppery/spicy finish, quite flowery, with some light apricot fruit notes. very pleasant.
