On tap at the brewpub. Pour is hazy lemon peel in appearance with a medium white head and great lacing. Grassy, fruity, clove, slightly herbal, floral, biscuity, tangy, bananay aroma. Taste is fruity, banana, herbal, grassy, slightly tangy, biscuit, straw, lemon peel, and peppery with a spicy finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Tasty stuff

On tap at the brew pub, served in a stem glass. Pours hazy orange-golen with a tiny white head that fades slowly, leaving a small amount of lace. The nose has pale malts, combined with caramel, orange and apricot, along with subtle hops. The flavour is moderately sweet, with honey, flowers, orange, fruit, spice and a slight hoppy bitterness. The finish is long, dry and somewhat bitter. On the palate, it is medium in body with a dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a nice Belgian style blond ale. 2012-02-19

Growler shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike! The beer is golden hued and mostly clear, with only a slight haze. The white head displays lasting retention and leaves some decent lacing in its wake. The aroma brings yeast, malt, hops, spice. Decent flavor, with everything in the aroma balanced equitably. The beer is slightly sweet, and could stand more hop flavor and bitterness. Coriander comes through quite a bit. Not as dry as I would like. Overall, a decent brew, but not the customary excellence one comes to expect from Russian River. Glass at Monk’s for the RR/SN dinner. Pours a shimmering obtuse hay blonde with a soft, sticky white head. Aroma of clove, banana, intensely sweet malts, freshly-cut grass, and some overly-ripe fruit esters. Medium bodied with a rich, sweet, yet hoppy palate. Flavors are primarily Belgian candied sugars, sweet pears, dry, Belgian yeast and a hint of some honey and spice. Finishes bitter-sweet and dry with a nice balance between the Belgian sugars and hops. Very solid Beligan.

At Monks for dinner, pours a cloudy orange with thin head and lace. Aromas and taste of cloves, spice, coriander, bannana, fennel. Very belgian tasting but with more pronounced hops. Interesting brew.

Draft at Monks. Hazy yellow orange with just a thin ring of a head. Exceptionally well blended beer that reads across multiple Belgium styles. Typical saison notes with a bit of sweet tripel sweetness. Fuller body that one might expect from a quad. Hop bitterness registers but finishes juicy pear apple fruity with a soft finish. Great beer but it seems a bit in its own category and rings a little shy of being a good example of any particular style.

2 oz. sample draft at the brew pub in Santa Rosa, California. The pour is slightly hazed golden, with a white head. The aroma is floral hops, honey, grass and bready malt. Fresh nose. The taste is slightly bitter floral hops, delicate honey sweetness, orange fruit, and finishes dry with a hint of Belgian yeast. The palate is medium bodied, though the dryness thins it out nicely. Bitterness lingers pleasantly. Nice.

Cloudy gold pour, white head. Bready, hoppy, apples, fruit, yeast aroma. Flavor is spicy, apples, some pear, light yeast, very light floral hops. Another winner!
