3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler from IowaHerkeye (thanks Joey). Clear with not much head. Nose is dry and spicy Belgian yeast tones. Very crisp and nice bitter hop finish. Nice spice note from the yeast. I really love this beer, could drink it all day. Nice mix if IPA / Belgian styles. The yeast / taste profile reminds me of IPA’s I’ve made using Chouffe yeast. Good stuff

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ RR. Pours a clear, light amber color with a small white head. Interesting mix of aromas; sweet, hoppy, alcohol, fresh pool toy. Easy drinking, nutty- sweet up front, subtle (comparitive) hop finish. Doesnt reach Hop-It status, but a nice stab at an odd style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a medium copper color with a lasting off white head. The nose is floral hops and estery sweet. The flavor is grassy and slight earthy hop with caramel and yeast sweetness. A touch of smokiness toward the end. Subtle coating mothfeel and dry finish.

Cool aroma, some citrus, slight hop, and a bright fresh light golden aroma. Very drinkable, some wheat flavor. No Alc noticable. Same Speedway release growler. Got to sample a couple times. Refreshing brew ment for a hot day. Very drinkable, thanks for the sample for the beer knowledgeable guy who brought this.

Clear and dark golden in color with faint hints of brandy. A Belgian with some hops, I like it.

Someone brought this to the Alesmith line tasting on 9/26/2008. From the Growler poured with a nice head. Some yeast and hops were present, very nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Color and body remind me of a light Belgian Golden Ale, with fine clariity. There’s hops and faint salts in the aroma. Beer succeeds in maintaining modest Belgian yeast character and moderate IPA hop taste (Simcoe?), but doesn’t stand out as either nor does it seem like a breakthrough innovation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: SEP 26, 2008 I put this one up on Ratebeer as an IPA (there are no Belgian IPAs) because they called it a Belgian IPA on the board at the brewpub. But to me it seemed like a Belgian Tripple I brought it home Saturday (the 19th) in a growler and only got around to drinking it over the last could nights (with some help of course. I will contact RR and see if they think the type should be something else. Contact made. According to RR this is a Belgian Ale.
Call it what you want, it was pretty good. The color was a rich gold with a moderate white head and sticky lacing. Nose is very yeasty with banana, grapefruit, and there are hints of spices in there as well. Mouthfeel is excellent as are many RR brews, with moderate carbonation. Flavor is slightly sweet and as befits something called an
IPA there is quite a bit of hop bitterness in the finish. Overall an interesting brew that was easy to drink, and I am glad I brought home a growler.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Lots of hops in this belgian drink. Belgian notes dominate with a big estery, yeasty component with some pear and banana. Almost cloyingly sweet with belgian sugar sappiness. Hop profile is omnipresent with a grassy and peppery that suits the drink well.
