3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a hazed golden body and a white head that lasts and leaves great lace. Aromas are very hoppy, grainy, grassy. Some light phenol/pepper notes, lemon balm and tangerine zest. Flavors are fruity (esters and hops), citrus, grassy hop character, some phenols. A light malty sweetness (not crystal) throughout with a bitter balance overall. Medium bubbles and dry. Tasty!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Growler courtesy of daysinthewake. Served in a Russian River "TION" goblet.
Pours a clear golden-yellow color with a two-finger white head and some spotty lacing on the way down, along with a thin collar throughout. The nose carries a bit of Belgian yeast and hops. Contrary to many Belgian IPAs, it seems more like this has Belgian hops in it. Based on my limited experience, it seems close to Styrian Goldings, though I could be way off. Hops don’t quite complement the yeast as much as I’d like. Medium body with good carbonation. Decent, but not Russian River caliber.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had this during the 2011 Shenandoah Throwdown, got the growler from a trade I did on BA. Pours a lightly hazed golden amber with a medium to large white head. Big fuzzy musk, soft hops, citrus. Sweet, lightly hoppy, big musk and citrus, faint lemon, more sweetness. Soft musk, gentle and slow developing hop bitterness. Very nice, subtle and delicate. Glad I shared this with everyone, but certainly wouldn’t have been sad to drink the growler solo.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler thanks to j12601 at Shenandoah Throwdown. My 2800th rating on this site. Pours a clear light orange with a decent, white head. Nose is malty, sweet honey, small citrus hops. Taste is tart, citrus rind bitter, lemon tart. Dry palate. Nicely sessionable but underwhelming. Still, it’s not everyday you get to try something new from Russian River.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at RR... Clear crisp light gold, long lasting egg shell head... Light yeast with a little lemon zest... Taste is much better than the nose, nice complimentary notes of yeast on the front with a pine finish

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at brewpub. Light copper with white head. Light hops, soap, herbs and spices. Seemed over carbonated and very thin, dry and slightly bitter at the end. Was disappointing although easy to drink

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Monk’s Cafe.
Pours a slightly hazy, dark golden orange color with pale golden peach edges and a 1.5 finger white foam head that slow fades into a lasting cap/ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Spicy hop aroma with a estery yeast and light fruit notes. Earthy hops with some pine and citrus as well as some sweet alcohol and crisp light fruits, notably apple and pear.
Medium bodied with dry, earthy hops up front which are countered by pale malt, phenol alcohol and esters/yeast that give of hints of light fruit. Earthy and slightly grassy followed by sweet light fruit notes and subtle spice. Hints of apple and pale as well as some grapefruit and orange peel. Well balanced but just a touch too much alcohol toward the dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A - Served a hazy golden-orange color with a thin finger of frothy white head. The head faded down slowly leaving behind some nice lacing on the sides of the glass.
S - The aroma is a nice mix of citrus hops and orange aromas with a bit of yeast, spices, and grassy hops. There is also a bit of sweet caramel malts.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet caramel malts and some citrus hops and orange. Through the middle, a bit of hop bitterness comes through with some yeast and banana flavor and just a bit of spices. The finish is a mix of sweet malts with some light spices and some hops and bitterness that linger.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very smooth and crisp. Overall, fairly dry with a nice lingering finish from the bitterness and yeast.
D - Very drinkable. The balance of the Belgian and American elements here is really spot on a present a nice hybrid beer.
