Draft at OBriens. Clear golden pour with a white head. Grain, herbal/floral hops, spicy Belgian yeast, orange peel, and light acidic tartness. Tasty and quite drinkable. I could drink more of this.

On tap at obriens. Super pale light amber. Nose light sweet tart. Taste tart and light fruit up front. Bitter yeasty back. Nice even brew.

Tap @ RR. Clear gold pour with a short white head leaving heavy lace. Nose is lightly hoppy with some tart fruit. Medium body with fine, moderate carbonation. A light, lacto sourness hits right at the start, followed by pine and citrus hops - a strange combination to be sure. There’s a fair ABV going here, but it’s not too much, too bittering or otherwise off-putting. Bubblegum, pine, grapefruit, sucrose, yeast, apricot and pear. The hops continue through the finish, remaining resinous and citrus - mostly grapefruit. Finish is long, bitter and somewhat chemical. I don’t know what to think. I love this ale, but I doubt I could have more than one in a session. It lacks some integrity, which makes me wonder what time will do to it. I suspect it will only improve.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear blonde with standard white head. Nose is mild of sugar cane, resin, and orange peel. Extremely well-balanced beer with notes of bubble gum, citrus, and resin. This felt like they maximized the amount of hops they could add without making this too bitter and overbearing. Delicious.

Draft @ brewpub. Pours a gorgeous luminescent orange, but glass filled too high so not much head. Or lace for that matter...Anyway the aroma is apricot, and flavors include apricot kernel, laurel leaf, and some leafy hop bitterness but not nearly as much as I remember. Tastes almost under fermented compared to the sample I had at the GABF, which was transcendent! I mean, several of the Belgians (Damnation, Defenestration, and Salvation too) all seemed really sweet and yeasty and oily at the brewpub...like they were just begging to be bottle conditioned. But the character of the beer is still yum. The hops just aren’t shining in it right now, as they were when I first tried it but I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt.

Tap at the brewpub. A bit yeasty and thick in the mouth, with a little sugary sweetness balancing a firm herbal an floral hop flavor finishing with a lasting bitterness. Some fruitiness that is more the yeast than hops, and shows a but of banana. Quite hazy. good but not as good of a hop and yeast combo as the last hoppy Belgian style ale I had from them. This one might be a touch too bitter as well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

GABF 2011. Clear brilliant gold with a lingering small head. Spicy blonde malt aroma with a touch of herbal hops and slight oak. Spicy aroma full of Belgian yeast. Flavor featured a nice spicy herbal hop with light fruit tones, a bit floral hoppy, some light sweet toffee, balanced, on a big body. Just the slightest bit sour, really expected more.

On tap at GABF, poured hazy orange-yellow with nice white head, aroma brought notes of grass, pine, some slight orange and grapefruit notes, which went into the fruity apricot and pear of the belgian yeast, spice throughout as well. Taste was nice grass, pine, and citrus notes leading into some other fruit and spice notes from the yeast including some pear, finished a touch bitter but not overwhelming. This was nicely done, good version of the style.
