4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
From bottle #30 at sk8vikings American blind tasting. Pours hazy orange and with a lacing white head. Aroma is dry and acidic with a solid orange fruity aroma. Flavour is solid acidic and orang fruity. Dense flavour yet towards smooth. Acidic and citric finish with a nice sulphor and wooden touch. Finish makes me shiver. Smooth and utterly wellbalanced.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled - tasted blind - my 1800th US beer. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with a very acidic note too as well as some fruit. The flavor is sweet with fruity notes - primarily of peaches as well as some notes of grapefruit, and a strong acidic note, leading to a tart finish.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled, thanks marsiblursi! Lightly hazy golden, mid-sized head. Concentrated lemon and old hay aroma. Dryish and tart, well rounded with marked vinegary acidity. Some caramel and slight vinous oakiness adds complexity to the acidic flavour. Finishes with stale hop bitterness.

Corked bottle, courtesy of a generous trader
Hazy orange color. Sour aroma, with mild fruitness, citrusy, and light cellar touch. Good mouthfeel, hidden malt flavor, silky sourness, citrusy touch, with a late astringency. Excellent.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deviation. Yes good on aroma. But better on finish. Authentic funk on finish. Yes lemon and wood. Preety decent but lacks real authenticity.. Bit too lemon squash. Tasty but too much lemon. 3.7

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A: The pour is a clear dark golden color with some hints of orange and red and a nice white head.
S: Lots of cherries, lactic/lemon acidity, green apple, and maybe some grapefruit too (in terms of all the fruit notes). The oak is wet, musty, and tannic. And there is a solid funk that is earthy and dry.
T: The lemon acidity is bright and clean. The cherry and green apple notes are really intense and provide a nice fruit character on top of the base tartness. Quite dry, both from some brett and oak/tannins.
M: The body is medium with a moderate to high level of carbonation. The finish is dry, acidic, and slightly puckering.
D: I see why this is such a whale, it’s absolutely delicious. I am very pleased to have try it, and hope I can do so again in the future.
