Vac (2184), San Diego, California, USA Jan 16, 2005 Pours with a golden amber body topped by a medium thick head wtih lots of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and hoppy with lots of grapefruit and some pine. The flavor is bitter and hoppy with lots of pine, some grapefruit and an underlying malty sweetness. Medium to full bodied, warming and dry. Sick_boy282 (1073), San Diego, California, USA Jan 13, 2005 A very poor pale ale that just doesn’t do it for me. It is unique, I guess to brew with hop variety, yet the flavor of this one was almost too hard to swallow. davidflores99 (225), Long Beach, California, USA Jan 5, 2005 Had this on tap, wasn’t too bad of a brew. Really bitter and a little sour, but I like that. Didn’t have much of a head, and a little aroma, hoppy. I would order this again. Eyedrinkale (3091), Beer Town, New York, USA Dec 30, 2004 My least favorite of the Russian River beers I have tried but I guess I’m just not into this unique hop profile. Taste is too dry and astringent. Taste is lightly sour. DaSilky1 (1528), San Diego, California, USA Dec 29, 2004 A big white head sat above the amber fluid and a breeze of fresh juicy hops slided by...a hint of orange & pineapple could be gathered from the wind...flavors showed nice fresh hops comforted by soft floral characteristics...a little medicinal aspirine-like flavors turn bitter and sappy...but quite nice for a pale ale.
