Not a huge Saison fan but this is tasty. Smooth and bubbly. Sticky head. Draft at Russian river. Good grapefruit backbone ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a growler. Pours a hazy golden amber with a small white head that has good retention and leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass. The aroma is earthy with a light mineral note, a hint of apple, and a peppery note. The Taste is dry and earthy with a bit of pepper. The finish is dry and earthy with some light apricot. Medium body. Medium carbonation. A pretty solid American Saison.

Pale golden straw colour. The nose is bright ad lemony. A little bit of light pepper and lemon. Fresh and spicy. Nicely done. Flinty/spicy bitterness. Awesome

Nice citrusy aroma. Flavor is also citrusy, with nice hints of lemon. A it of funk on the finish, which is to be expected given the style. Not bad.

Bottlet at Dan’s shared with friends. Golden orange appearance with a two-finger, white head and great lacing. Cheese, wax, spice, tropical fruits, pineapple, and straw in the aroma. Taste is mango, armpit, pepper, pineapple, cobwebs, biscuit, and pear with a lightly tart finish. Medium mothfeel with high carbonation. Spicy, sour, funky, bready, and smooth. Really nice saison.

Bottle @ Dan’s house, courtesy of Steve_0. Thanks! Pours a bit hazy golden appearance with a very nice off white head. White pepper, straw, mild grassy, lightly fruity,a touch funky aroma. A bit tangy, tart, a touch funky, light barnyard, lemon, somewhat spicy flavor. Pretty interesting.

Pour out of growler, thanks to Stephen. Pour is hazy orange with nice fluffy white head, aroma has notes of nice biscuit, vanilla, hints of earth, bread, touch of white fruit, hints of spicy yeast as well, smells nice. Taste is a mix of sweet biscuit, bread, cracker, sme sour grain, slightly funky, hints of earth, biscuit, vanilla, white pear and peach, finishing fairly sweet, slightly bitter, dry.

On draft at Russian River. It pours clear yellow with a white head. The aroma is potent with saison yeast spiciness...pepper, clove etc... with some vanilla and orange peel. The flavor is bone dry and super spicy with mild citrus fruit and a little soapy. Hint of tartness near the finish. Light and dry, but a powerhouse with the flavor.

Tap. Pours clear light amber with a small white head and (predictably) great lacing. Aroma is yeast, lemon, clove. Flavor is strong Belgian yeast, citric bitter with a light lemon peel astringence. Not my favorite.

Tap@the brewpub, Santa Rosa, CA, 13/08/12. Outspoken clovey spice, pepper and banana yeastiness on the nose. Drinks soft and peppery with Belgian yeast, banana shrimp notes...something hop (can’t decipher notes), bitterness that clings.
