A hazy golden orange pour with a white head. Lactic sourness up front with a nice lemon zest note. Some grass, straw, yeast, and a light bready sweetness. Very bright and citrusy. The flavor has a very nice lemon tartness, lime zest, and plenty of grass. A bit of bread sweetness, yeast, straw, and a dry finish.

Cloudy yellow pour, fluffy white head. Nice clean saison. Grassy, apples, green table grapes, light spice, a tad earthy and yeasty.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2014 Bottle @ Dan’s house, courtesy of Steve_0. Thanks! Pours a bit hazy golden appearance with a very nice off white head. White pepper, straw, mild grassy, lightly fruity,a touch funky aroma. A bit tangy, tart, a touch funky, light barnyard, lemon, somewhat spicy flavor. Pretty interesting. Update at RR: good brew.

On tap at the brewpub. So-so saison, certainly displaying white pepper, coriander, and yeast. Not a lot of inviting spices, however. Quaffable. Blonde coloured body.

>> Pours hazy white straw with thick 360 lacing. Nose is an odd mix of fennel, licorice, lemon balm, allspice, dried orange peel. Taste begins with a squashy hoppy note, honeydew rind, super crisp and dry pils malt base gives a similar feel really to the STS Pils. Somewhat soapy. Light acid in background, lime squeeze. Malt base is an insanely crisp, crackery, sharp one. Crushable type of saison with no esters, sugar, alcohol, or other silly things that can kill a saison experience.

Pale golden straw colour. The nose is bright ad lemony. A little bit of light pepper and lemon. Fresh and spicy. Nicely done. Flinty/spicy bitterness. Awesome

Growler thanks to John Aitchison. Pours with a clear golden body and a massive and lasting creamy white head with good lacing. Aromas are strongly estery and phenolic, hints of lemon and light herbal hops. Malt profile is in the background, but it is mostly bready and a bit grainy. Some pear notes along with hay and a bit of sweetness. Flavors are peppery, estery, citrus, light tart acidity in the finish with hints of lemon. Medium bitterness. Decently dry. Malt note of hay and bread. Lively bubbles, relatively light bodied. Tasty.

[2/12/15] Draught at Russian River in Santa Rosa. Clear yellow. Aroma of fruit esters, a sulphury hint and a citric hops note. Slightly spicy flavor with a sweetish note, yeast, fruity esters and light hoppy bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Tap@the brewpub, Santa Rosa, CA, 13/08/12. Outspoken clovey spice, pepper and banana yeastiness on the nose. Drinks soft and peppery with Belgian yeast, banana shrimp notes...something hop (can’t decipher notes), bitterness that clings.
