This raspberry lambic was reminiscent of New Glarus without as much thickness in the body or residual sweetness. Very similar in the aroma with juuuust a little more funk if you really searched for it, but a big fresh whiff of raspberries up front and center. VERY quaffable, dangerously so. Light sweetness on the palate but still chalk full of raspberry flavor and a little stinky cheese and lemony barnyard funk. Another long time wish list beer that lived up to the hype

Generously shared by Ryan, many moons ago on Halloween. Fanastic spritzy tartness with good raspberry character, a bit mineraly, awesome stuff.

In short: An intense, uber-funky, uber-rustic, uber-dry fruity amber ale. Wow!
How: Bottle 375ml corked & caged, consumed 2 years after release. Bottle from Elliesbrown, thank-you so much Zack.
The look: Medium cloudy glowing amber body topped by a small off-white head.
In long: Nose has a superb bright funk, a dusty woody old attic, a walk in a countryside field, raspeberry seeds, fruit skin. Taste is just as bright and vibrant as the aroma. Crisp sundried countryside hay/flowers, dusty rusticity, raspberry seeds and a fruitiness that includes but goes way beyond just raspberries, dry oak, very funky stuff here, medium lactic acid presence, totally devoid of any acetic acid (yeah!), light cheesy notes, lots of tannins. Finish is bone dry. Sumptuous mouthfeel and smooth carbonation. Rather intense beer, loses a few points for low drinkability. A beer for a great cause with all sale of this beer donated to a Breast Care Center, I really hope we will one day find a cure for cancer and country music.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2014 Bottle sampled after the 2011 batch. Pours a bright, but hazy amber golden body with nice carbonated lacing. Aroma is aggressive tart fruit, super funky oak, musk, dust, and cotton candy. The mouthfeel on the 2010 batch is definitely more lively, with notes of raspberry bubblegum, sour raspberry, funky fruit skins, oak, sour fruit, and sour cotton candy. One of the greatest sour ales Iíve come across. I will have this again.

Cure pours a glowing pink color. Small pink lacing around the glass. Iíve honestly never seen this type of color on a beer before.Very small amount of head. Itís lovely to look at. When this beer was poured I was ready for an onslaught of raspberry. But instead you get more of a funky aroma. Musty and acidic. It definitely stings the nostrils pretty good. Behind all that is the raspberries with a little bit of citrus and lemon. The smell is beautiful. As with the smell, the taste is more funky then fruity. A good amount of tartness and sourness. Maybe not the biggest Iíve ever had in a beer but it does itís job well. Barnyard funk and musty characteristics give way to the raspberries, citrus and oak at the end. This was a damn pleasure to drink. A fantastic mixture of fruit, funkiness, and oak. Itís like fine art. Delicate and beautiful. Didnít think you would ever hear me call a beer that did you? This one is very dry and acidic. It will leave you puckering but youíll want to go in for more. Medium bodied and a good amount of carbonation.

Aroma is raspberry, brett, tart, horseblanket, malt. Foggy amber with a thin off white head. Taste is nice and tart, light fruitiness, palate destroyer.

375 ml bottle from cpferris. Nose is light raspberries with tons of tartness and a little horseblanket funk and oaky wood notes. Hazy yellow gold with a hint of reddish tones and a small pale yellow head. Flavor is heavy tartness, nice light raspberry notes (much lighter than the 2011) and lots of funkiness and pepperiness.
