4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2011 vintage, bottle shared by badnewsbeers. Pulpy orange-brown body, thin ring of off-white carbonation. Grassy nose with raspberry and cobwebs. Sharp, sour body, dry and dusty/cobwebby with raspberry. Soapy, tart, sour, and dry. Complex and very nice.

Very well done, fruity, slightly tangy with a ton of complex brett character. Nice pink pour, very pleasent beer in every regard. Just has a good energy.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2012 Vintage. 375mL bottle, sent from Perrin515 (thanks a lot, Patrick), pours a very vibrant, opaque reddish pink with a small pink-tinted head. Aroma is all raspberries, very potently dominating, not really any of the Temptation base or any sour / wild notes, except maybe a little oak - but this is all raspberries. Flavour brings out potent raspberries upfront immediately, but then it shifts to a funkier, more wild palate, with oak, a little vanilla, and sour raspberries. Very fruity initially, and transitions to become funky, wild, and oaky. Very complex and delicious. One of the best framboises I’ve had to date.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
4th January 2013
THE stout tasting Pt1. Thanks again to Bruce for some light shade after the Dark Lord attack. Light haze on this red - pink beer. Pretty pink head! Light crispy and airy palate. Mild minerals and white wine sourness. More cherry than raspberry tart fruit. Subtle marzipan. Semi dry finish. One of the more approachable Russian River sours.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle shared at the Craft Beer Co. - Clerkenwell, London Holiday Tasting - big thanks to Colin for sharing! Pours bright pink-red with a fine, pink foam head. Dry raspberry nose. Light sweet flavor, good balance, tart raspberry, light bitter berry pits, faint sweat. Light bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Crisp, clean finish, light dry raspberries. Very true and fresh. Lovely. Super drinkable.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma: fresh raspberries, lemon, fairly clean acidity. Pours a dark pink/red color with a big fizzy pink head, dissipates fairly quickly to a lasting ring. Flavor: bursting with raspberries, nice lemon tartness, a touch of light malts, really rather clean, just a touch of earthy funk. Fruit character is impressive, tons of fresh raspberry flavor but very dry throughout. Light-medium body, medium-high carbonation. An excellent beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2011 and 2012 bottles tried side-by-side. Both pour a ruby red color but the 2011 is hazy and the 2012 is mostly clear and has a small tinted head, whereas the 2011 has no head. Big, smooth raspberry nose on the 2012; the 2011 has more lemon and brine and barnyard funk. Same goes for the flavor on both. The 2012 has a smooth, juicy, tart mouthfeel while the 2011 has more tartness and funk and grittiness. Both are light-medium bodied with very moderate carbonation. Fun experiment, and I can honestly say I loved both. Neither blew me away to the level 2010 did, but that’s probably due primarily to the Beatification base in that one vs. the Temptation base in this one.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle after the carnage of THE Stout Tasting. Cheers to deeblo for the pour! The pour’s deep red with a small reddish head. Attractive beer. The nose is rich raspberry, sweet jammy aromas. The taste is red berry fruit salad. Plenty of lightly tart raspberry. Slightly sour on the finish. Light body, quite active carbonation. Overall, a pleasant beer. Simple, refreshing.
