(bottle - corked & caged 375 ml) Cloudy orange with a good amount of white foam. Huge sour and earthy tart aroma that gets the salivary glands going immediately. Nice oak and fruit notes with some good raspberry underneath it. Raspberry begins the flavor and then blends in with that tart Brett flavor. Some sweetness near the end but mainly that predominant and delicious funky sour taste. Fruity notes linger on the palate. Outstanding.

Bottle. Bright red pour, white slightly pink head. Mostly raspberries, sweet red berries, sour tartness, and light on the funk (not much). I like it, but its not the best fruited sour.

Russian river framboise for a cure 2011 edition. 375ml bottle. Thanks to a gracious trading partner out of a Cali... Pours an alluring pomegranate berry red, somewhat seedy, with a light musty funk quality. Very fruit forward with a sour white wine influence... Flavors are very much along the same wavelength with a big sour berry profile to go alongside a lively level of carbonation. Nice dry backend with a light body which adds to its drinkability. Solid all around and entirely quaffable. Well done. More fruit and less funk in this one than the beatification base but all in all, both are particularly enjoyable. 9/4/8/4/16

Really solid fresh tart raspberry notes a little tart temptation notes. Nice. Poura bright red nice clarity little head. Tart raspberry notes a little tart temptation nice carb lemon wood light bodied good fucking stuff. Nice dry woody finish. Nice balanced good stuff.

2011 vintage. pours a bright murky pink and magenta. pinkish head piles high and slowly dissipates. mainly raspberry and oak on the nose. lots of dry raspberry with a hint of old musty oak. slight lemon with a great sour kick. lip puckering up front. very moderate carbonation, nice body, dry finish. very drinkable and one of the best american framboise i have had. never overpowering and well integrated through out. no sign that temptation is the base for this. Bottle thanks to my Mom! Pours a clear ruby red with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma is full of raspberries with a bit of backing acidic tartness. Flavor has a lot of raspberry with a growing acidic tartness with a hint of backing funk.

A - Pours a hazy ruby-orange with a thin finger of frothy pinkish head. The head fades fairly quickly leaving behind a bit of lace. S - Aroma is a mix of sweet raspberries with some tart light fruits, white grape, oak, vanilla, and some Brett funk. T - Starts off with some tart raspberries and light fruits with some white grape, some acidity, and a bit of vanilla. Through the middle, some oak comes through with some Brett funkiness and some more vanilla. The finish is a mix of strong sour raspberries with some oak, Brett, vanilla, and white grape. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a tart, acidic, and sour finish. D - Very drinkable. Really great tartness from the raspberries on top of the temptation base. The extra flavor adds some great complexity and sharpness to the beer.

Big thanks to Joe for this bottle. Shared this 2011 vintage with Jeff, Erik and Jeroen during our sour power tasting. Served just after the Hommage from 3 Fonteinen. The old-world with the sour-beer tradition, versus the new-beer world, who will win... Look: The beer pours bright artificial reddish color with a small white head that doesn’t last long. Reminds me of the Leffe Ruby. Smell: It smells like artificial Raspberry candies, with a slight hint of sourness. Taste: I can simply copy Jeffo’s review here; sweet sugary cherry-raspberries up front, sweet raspberries in the middle and some very light sourness in the middle and end. No funk at all. Taste is very short lasting. Just like lemonade. Mouthfeel: Thin and medium carbonation, dry finish. Overall: This beer was a huge let down after the 3 Fonteinen Hommage. It is like comparing fish-sticks with freshly prepared codfish, comparing the Wageningen Ice Tigers with the Boston Bruins. It just doesn’t make any sense; it is a completely different league. If one is unaware of the greatness that is out there, one probably thinks this beer is world-class. However, in a showdown with the better ones, this Framboise for a Cure is downgraded to the fish-stick- and Wageningen Ice Tiger level .The Hommage simply did to this beer what the atomic bomb did to Nagasaki, it completely wiped it off the (beer)map. The only thing that has to be cured now is my faith in US-Raspberry sours….

Bottle. Pours ruby red with pink head. Nose/taste of tart raspberry, soured red fruits, aged cheese, wild yeast, oak and basement funk. Woody oak and tart raspberry finish. Medium body.

Aroma is stunning with vanilla, raspberries, and funk. Taste is very tart with the raspberries a bit hidden at first but strong in the finish along with the heavy tartness. Great stuff.
