2011 and 2012 bottles tried side-by-side. Both pour a ruby red color but the 2011 is hazy and the 2012 is mostly clear and has a small tinted head, whereas the 2011 has no head. Big, smooth raspberry nose on the 2012; the 2011 has more lemon and brine and barnyard funk. Same goes for the flavor on both. The 2012 has a smooth, juicy, tart mouthfeel while the 2011 has more tartness and funk and grittiness. Both are light-medium bodied with very moderate carbonation. Fun experiment, and I can honestly say I loved both. Neither blew me away to the level 2010 did, but that’s probably due primarily to the Beatification base in that one vs. the Temptation base in this one.

Bottle after the carnage of THE Stout Tasting. Cheers to deeblo for the pour! The pour’s deep red with a small reddish head. Attractive beer. The nose is rich raspberry, sweet jammy aromas. The taste is red berry fruit salad. Plenty of lightly tart raspberry. Slightly sour on the finish. Light body, quite active carbonation. Overall, a pleasant beer. Simple, refreshing.

Bottle care of theydon bois in Craft Beer Co. Colour is cloudy pinkish bright red, nice white foam head. Nose is tart sour, burnt caramel, fresh picked raspberries, white sugar meringue, farmyard. Taste is beautiful. Fresh fresh fruit raspberries, tart sour green apple, white sugar meringue, bit of farmyard. This fruit on this is amazing. Fresh and perfectly balanced with sour. No syrupy crap. Awesome beer. Wish I had more of this!

Bottle at pre Xmas tasting (thanks to Frank/Ramnuts) - 21/12/12. Hazed amber/red with no head. Nose is wood, tarte raspberries, sour tones. Taste comprises a wonderfully balanced sour raspberry flavour, light sugars, tarte berry fruits, earthy, funky, wood notes. Medium bodied with delicates spritzyness, leating to a fruity tarte and dry finish. Excellent!

Bottle shared with theydon bois, cheers!
Hazy pink with fluffy white head that soon collapses. Fairly sweet dusty raspberry. Initial tartness replaced by juicy fresh raspberries and touch of balsamic vinegar and citric acid and tart raspberry finish.

GABF, 2012. I would call this a raspberry lambic. It was one of the highlights of the festival and drew long lines. There is an intense raspberry aroma to this beer. Sour flavor, but also lots of yeast and more fruit, finishing with raspberry and sour yeast. Bright red color.

2012. Olfactory raspberry explosion! Beautiful appearance, stubborn head atop the pink-red body. Really tasty shows the fresh fruit swagger. Young, yet still refined. This should age with the best of them.

Bottle shared by drabmuh. Thanks Matt. Save the tatas! 2011 vintage The beer is a dark ruby hue, unsurprisingly resembling raspberry juice. The head is pinky and foamy, rapidly receding to zilch. The aroma brings some distinctive Russian River yeast with a bold serving of raspberries. Great flavor, with lots of fresh, slightly tart berries. Pretty straightforward. Not overly funky, sour, or tart, hut rather refreshing, chuggable, and delicious. Light on the palate with spritzy carbonation. Overall, I really enjoyed this. An excellent beer. From notes, sours tasting Feb 2012 at Samy’s. Pours a cloudy red with a slight foamy head. Aromas of raspberries, extremely tart flavour, with slightly sweet notes.

Pours a somewhat clear rose color with a medium foamy pink head that dissipates quickly. Aroma has tart raspberries, a hint at sweetness, and some vinous funk. Flavor is soury first...tart almost lemon/funky...raspberry creeps in with some vinous notes. Mouthfeel is light and silky with a dry tart raspberry finish.
