Aroma wow! Amazing raspberry, truthful aroma. Crisp, tart , clean. Soft flora; hints with superb fruit element. Simply great.9+
Appearance pinkish fine hazed brew with initial plus sized top. Some chunks in the bottle shown. 3+
Flavor and Palate : medium bodied. Zesty lemon like tartness with soft sweet, gentle raspberry touch. Not as subtle and refined as aroma promised. Still solid offering.

From notes. First reviewed 10/23/2011. Poured from a 375 mL bottle into a tulip. This has a raspberry pink color that is fairly transparent. A thin white film forms on the pour and fades rather quickly. Raspberries, white grapes, tart lemon and a lingering general tartness form the nose. Some oak, some barnyard funk that feels overwhelmed by the raspberry tartness. Quite a few flavors blast my tongue simultaneously. Some light pale malt, ripe red raspberries, tart lemon zest and grapefruit, with a little bit of leather and oak toward the end. There is a strong carbonation that really bubbles on the tongue. There is a modest tartness that leads to a light puckering, but the sour and tart sensations are fairly mild. I am normally a huge fan of raspberry sours, but I felt the raspberry flavors blocked out the other nice complexities in the base beer, resulting a slightly lower score.

2011 bottle. Pours with an insanely vibrant pinkish to red hued body that appears to glow. Quite a bit of white to pink foam given the acidity of the beer. Head fades to a ring that stays constant. Flavors are insanely fresh and vibrant, perky acidity, tart, true raspberry aroma. Tart with skin tannins on the nose even. Seems to have quite a bit less funk than the 2010. Jammy, pure, nicely floral and fresh. Flavors are very clean and vibrant. Distinct Russian River funk on the flavor (you can tell that this is not Lost Abbey Framboise de Amorosa, not that it is a good or bad thing per se). Soft lactic acidity that builds with vibrant citric acid from the raspberries. Nice earthy and leathery barnyard characteristics. Nearly a bit of a light chlorophenol from the funk as well (although it is minimal). Some lemony zest characteristics. Very lively bubbles, dry and mouth puckering. Long finish. Playful with very full carbonation, fruity and nice acidity. Everything about this beer is amazingly vibrant. Great stuff!

Bottled, thanks Craig. Hazy strawberry colour, no head. Funky citric raspberry aroma. Tart and slender, freshening acidity. Tanninic and citric with some vinegar and grape stone bitterness. A spritzy, soft highly refreshing beer with juicy intense flavour.

375ml bottle - Bottle lip had a chunk taken out right below the cork mushroom "cap" but there was no crack in the glass otherwise. Unfortunately, there was only a slight sight of tiny bubbles coating the glass when pulling cork. Absolutely, no head. Very pretty dark berry color. Unmistakable (bret?) aroma, along with tart berries. Flavor is extremely sour. That sour you get when you bite into a raspberry, only to realize it was half green!! Bitterness lingers on palate. "Overall" would have probably been higher had it not been for the bit of glass missing from the bottle lip.

In the garage with Joenugs. Cranberry pink with almost no head. Nose big tart raspberry. Tart light funk yeasty. Taste super dry tart. Light and high. Pulls the saliva. No vinegar madness. Bit of spice bite. Light leather funk. Very nice bottle to enjoy Sunday afternoon in the garage. Thanks Joe.
