UPDATED: OCT 19, 2012 On tap at Monks for the ridic russian river event. Pours a slightly hazy cranberry pinkish red, small white head, lots of sporadic lacing was left behind. Notes of oak, raspeberry, vinegar, spice, wine(chardonay), tart fruits and funky yeasts. A lot more refreshing then the bottles of batch 1 and 2. Also lighter bodied, has a nice refreshing finish and aftertaste. Not as puckery as I remember but that makes sense being on draft and relatively young. Excellent

Bottle split with Simon on Mothers day. I was pumped to try this beauty, I have had a sample of the original batch at a bottleshare but did not take any tasting notes. This one poured an ultra bright and vibrant thai nipple red according to Simon. Aromas of gueze, raspberry, flowers, soaked wood, sour cherry lambic, chardonay from the Temptation. Taste was a rich raspberry and cherry soaked funky lactic barnyard sour with dark grapes, leather, peach, cherry, cheddar, and oak. Magnificent beeer from RR.

Bottle care of theydon bois in Craft Beer Co. Colour is cloudy pinkish bright red, nice white foam head. Nose is tart sour, burnt caramel, fresh picked raspberries, white sugar meringue, farmyard. Taste is beautiful. Fresh fresh fruit raspberries, tart sour green apple, white sugar meringue, bit of farmyard. This fruit on this is amazing. Fresh and perfectly balanced with sour. No syrupy crap. Awesome beer. Wish I had more of this!

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2013 Personal contribution @ ‘The Adam Jackson Tasting’. Obtained in a trade with Adam. 2012 Vintage. 375 ml bottle sampled. The label is rather fascinatingly bad – I sort of didn’t believe something like this would exist when I saw a picture first. I am intrigued. Bright pink, radiant, light red, little pink head. Nose is tart raspberry, bit simple, mellow sourness, tart, light dust, some lemon, bit easy. Taste is tart raspberry, pits, mellow tartness, very clean, lemon touch, bit easy but lovely, touch wild yeast, light fermenting raspberries, some dust, touch too light,… Quite easy and clean. Not as awesome as Consecration & Supplication but still not too bad – probably cherry > raspberries in sour / not per se as the pure fruit itself.

Thanks Shawn for bringing this to my cabin. 2011 batch poured at cellar temp into a Duvel Tulip.

A - Half-Finger white to red colored head that dissipated very fast to a minor glass-edge line of bubbles. The beer is a ruby red color. No haze, not a ton of carbonation. Very tasty looking.

S - Temptation with Raspberries. That’s the best way to explain this beer because that’s exactly what this is. Smells wonderful, wild, sour, lambic and delicious.

T - Huge sour raspberries taste. Very wild yeast taste and lots of white wine sauvignon blanc? Hard to tell. The sour rocks my tongue and makes it hurt with sour intensity. Great feeling.

M - 80/20 carbonation, very dry finish, light bodied. Very drinkable.

O - This is amazing. It’s funky and wild and bitter. Remarkable and wonderful. A+

2012 draft at a Russian River event at Monks Cafe in Philadelphia. Very nice Rose color with a frothy pink head. Complex floral raspberry nose. Tasting the whole fruit, including stems and leaves. Vinous quality. Sour but not overly so. Only gently sweet. Some light earthiness. Pretty, fantastic, and pretty fantastic!

GABF, 2012. I would call this a raspberry lambic. It was one of the highlights of the festival and drew long lines. There is an intense raspberry aroma to this beer. Sour flavor, but also lots of yeast and more fruit, finishing with raspberry and sour yeast. Bright red color.

Pours bright red and hazy. Huge raspberry nose. Taste starts off very sharp and tangy, with a huge citrus/raspberry flavor. Delicious.

2011 vintage. pours a bright murky pink and magenta. pinkish head piles high and slowly dissipates. mainly raspberry and oak on the nose. lots of dry raspberry with a hint of old musty oak. slight lemon with a great sour kick. lip puckering up front. very moderate carbonation, nice body, dry finish. very drinkable and one of the best american framboise i have had. never overpowering and well integrated through out. no sign that temptation is the base for this.
