3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Blake (396) - Orange, USA - AUG 10, 2010
Had on tap at RR brewpub. Pours a nice golden yellow with ample carbonation. A nice bitter, hoppy aroma with a bit of malt in the nose. Flavors are muted, good bitter hop palate with a nice end and not too strong of a finish.

Tap at Russian River. Pours a chill hazed orange with a small, white head. No lace. Starfruit, watermelon candies, strawberry candies, something else sweet medicinal in the nose. Taste is neutral, a bit suddy, mildly bitter. Clean and very neutral to near bland. In a way it tastes like flavored tangerine seltzer water.

This beer is fine but compared to the other RR beers, it’s tough to compete man!

on draft at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellow with a tea nose. Flavor is bread like and malty.

Draft at OBriens. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Grainy Malts, bread, light sweetness. Decent for a style I don’t really like.

Tap @ RR. Hazy, honey pour with a short white head with good retention and heavy lace. Nose is light malt. Light body and moderate carbonation. Light toast, biscuit, citrus hops and almonds. Finish is short, dry and leaves you wanting another sip. A bit drier than many English bitters, but very good. I’d have no problem drinking this the whole evening.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma of malts and some hops...not really much though. Appearance is a light tan with off white head. Taste is very understated and fairly bland. Not much going on with this, although it is still a decent beer, it is my least favorite from RR.

On tap at RR. Hey, it’s true to the style. British malt and bread flavors aren’t really my thing. Hard to get excited about this after drinking so many great RR sours.....
