COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each time we make this ale we pick a different single variety of hops and use them exclusively in the brew. The malt bill stays fairly consistent from batch to batch so as to allow the distinctive hop flavors to come through. Here are just a few of the hops used in the past: Simcoe, Vanguard, Sterling, YCR-004, Amarillo, Satus, Santium, Tomahawk, and Columbus. Available on draft seasonally.O.G.: 1.060;50 BU’S

On tap at the brewery, the Hop 2 It is designed to show off a single hop variety in each version - and this one doesn’t disappoint. Pours light orange with nice head and lasting lace. Good malt/hop middle palate balance, finishing with a citrusy wash.

The nose was big in citrus w/ hints of flowers and light fruit. The flavor was citrusy and flowery but light. The beer poured an orange / yellow color w/ slight head and very slight lacing. The mouthfeel was watery and thin flavored, light bodied and creamy.

On tap at RR. Bright golden orange color, very little carbonation. Big grassy hop aroma and flavor, hay, light spices, light yeast. Really nice, like how it lets the hops shine without a lot of other stuff getting in the way. Very drinkable, not too much lingering bitterness.

Had this on tap at Najas place. Wow, this beer was really good, I enjoyed it very much, it was a smooth citrusy flavor, some spices in there as well. I actually ordered this beer twice cause I enjoyed it so much.

Fresh growler shared at a BBQ. Pours pale orange/yellow, a bit cloudy with a nice white head. Swirled around a bit to unlock the carbonation. No legs, slight lacing. Very odd aromas of sour fruit, pear skins, and some floral hops. Doesn’t really fit the IPA tag, more of a fruity Belgian pale or something. Taste is somewhat similar with that odd fruit flavor, bready finish, slight bitterness. Not really any citrus, but more of that earth, floral hops. The beer has a nice mouth feel overall, with medium carbonation. Not sure what hops were used this year, but I am not sure I am a fan. Seems like an odd release for Russian River, but I’m glad they keep producing small pub only beers to keep visiting the brewery fun and interesting.
