On tap @ RR. Pours a clear copper color with a small head. Nice sweet aroma, accompanied by a grassy hop character. Tangy hop bitterness shines through the sweet backbone, I’d say middle of the road as RR IPA’s go.

Another golden amber IPA with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, cleaner C-hops, more citrussy, less funk, quite classic. In mouth, a nice classy hoppy IPA, resinous and floral, quite good. On tap at brewpub, August 17 2009.

On tap. Clear golden with a dense off-white head. Citrusy, piney hop aroma. Medium body, fruity without much of a malt feel and a fairly dry and hoppy finish. 110709

nimbleprop (2126) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 4, 2009
On tap at the brew pub. Sort of a toned down cross between Pliny and Blind Pig. Orange amber color, transparent, lacing white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruits, lemon but also sneaky sweet. Flavor was nice and bitter, citrus fruits, pine, not super resinous, crackers and some caramel candy. Finish is medium bodied and bitter. Nice and sessionable as well but not as good as the other IPAs on the menu.

cprochak (581) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 27, 2009
On tap at the brewpub on 6/30/09. Pours nice orange, thin head, decent lacing. Little bit of citrus and pine aroma, but not quite as overpowering as blind pig. However, it’s very balanced with some nice caramel undertones, smooth, and drinkable, with dry earth/pine finish.

On tap at Russian River. Pours a clear amber with a diminishing head and lacings. Smells hoppy and floral. Bitter with some citric hops aromas. Chinook? Earthy hints with a bit of spice. Also a hint of caramel. Bitter finish.
