From tap at OBrians. Pours clear and golden orange with a slowly collapsing light yellowish head. Smooth fruity hops aroma. Dense bitterness coming through with a light fruity base flavour and vague caramel malt base. Lingering hoppy and mild caramel malty mixed with oily and fruity hoppy finish.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ughsmash (5631) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 5, 2008
On tap at Port – Carlsbad. Poured clear bright golden with a nice cap of white head. The aroma picked up brilliant grapefruit and pine upfront with grapefruit meat and pale malts supporting.. sweet, spicy, and quite nice. The flavor had bready and toffee sweetness at the core with bright pine and citrusy hoppage surrounding.. piney bitter finish.. solid! Heavier-bodied and syrupy at times on the palate.. lots of lingering bitterness on the finish (pine and grapefruit).. moderately carbonated. Great brew!

Pours a fairly crystal clear dark gold color, with a medium white head. Smells of pretty intense hops, some grapfruit citrus, and a little weed as well. Nice and crisp. The flavor was of pretty intense hops, juicy grapefruit citrus, and a nice hop bitterness lingering inthe finish and aftertaste. Very crisp and clean on the palate. Not overdone, but a stronger regular IPA. Just really solid, not surprising coming from these guys.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 StefanSD (1542) - Lakeside, California, USA - JUL 31, 2008
On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with a small white head. The aroma is strong with citrus, pine and fresh green hops. The flavor is similar to the nose, this is a biter hops forward brew with pine and chlorophyll filling in the sides. The mouthfeel is full and malty. The Finish is long and biter with lingering grassy hops. Overall: A very tasty IPA. Recommended.

On tap at RR. Poured orange and clear with a big off white head that produces a good amount of lace. Aroma of citrus hops. Taste is hoppy, but not overly so. Some light malt backing as well for balance. Finishes bitter. Not a bad IPA.

on tap at brewpub. Orange/gold color. Strong aroma of citrus/hops with hint of funk. Reminds me a lot of Stone IPA flavorwise.
