On tap at Russian River. Light amber with creamy white head. Citrus, honey, hops. Very smooth and light, sweet with a dry mild bitterness on the finish. Overall a very refreshing tasty brew.

tap at Toronado San Diego 6/18/11-I am so glad to have tried this somewhat rare tap-only offering from RR. pours bright orange with a small soapy eggshell head nose is straight forward grapefruit cascade hops and pine with some orange peal flavors. lots of orange peal and grapefruit compared to blind pig or even PLE. Grapefruit dominates the flavors-long pine and resin finish. soft carbonation but lots of pine tingle on the tongue. a very solid ipa and i like them piney and resinous like this.

Orange color with a creamy canvas colored head. Bitter citrus balanced out by decent amounts of malt and caramel. More drinkable than some of RRs other pales.

Growler. Pours a golden copper with a two finger white head that has amazing retention and leaves a good amount of lacing on the glass. The aroma immediately lets you know that it is an IPA from Russian River. Huge pine with some caramel malt. Also some light grapefruit and orange. The initial taste is strong pine hops that goes into some caramel, bready malt. Finish is even more pine with a strong bitterness. Relatively dry. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall, not quite as good as Blind Pig, but still a very solid beer. A little bit more malty than Russian River’s other IPAs.

Thanks to Agentzero, from a fresh growler into my Narke Tulip... A medium gold, lightly clear, a nice huge off white head weith very good retention and lacing....Aroma is a medium one noter mostly pine resin, its nice wish a touch more was going on...Taste is ok, mostly pine resin throughout, but pretty easy to drink. There is a weird akaline/chalk feel as it finishes. Easy drinker. Overall, not a bad peer but probably the worst Russian River ipa i’ve had (blind pig, elder and younger).

This IPA did not work for me. I know it is heresy to blaspheme against RR but Blind Pig and PtE are much better. Pours brownish orange. A very woodsy hop profile that tastes stronger than PtY. Abrasive and rough.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is of bitter hops and piney resins. The taste is maltier than the other RR IPAs, but still has a nice hop kick. Notes of pine and grass, very clean. Palate is a little heavier body than the Pig or Pliny, but still only medium body. Overall a decent IPA, but my least favorite from this great brewery.

Growler THANKS to calir1! Hoppy floral aromas. Citrusy, herbal hoppy flavor. Overall a great IPA.
