COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There is an old familiar saying in the wine business: "It takes a lot of great beer to make great wine!" Winemakers, cellar workers, and grape pickers alike rarely (if ever) reach for a nice big glass of red wine in the middle of harvest. Wine is quite delicious, but not very refreshing on a hot summer day. The beverage of choice during harvest is BEER! Ice-cold, refreshing and thirst-quenching BEER! The beer in this bottle is a toast to our winemaking friends who work around the clock during harvest to make world-class wine right here in our own back yard! Cheers!

Cloudy blond color, small head. Light aroma, some malt. Dryish mouthfeel, dry malt flavor, some spices from the yeast, very light citrusy flavor too; correct bitterness.
Balanced Saison, good.

(505ml bottle) Pours a clear yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of grass, herbs, bread, and faint citrus. Flavor of grass, citrus, and grain. Weak, watery, no much to it. I am a HUGE Russian River fan, but having drank this one after the Bison Organic Zeal Island Pale Ale, this is quite the disappointment.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is earthy and fruity. And quite floral. Med minus body. Flavor is wheaty, lightly earthy, fruity. Finishes bitter and dry. Refreshing. RR’s equivalent of a lawn mower beer. Probably the best of those ever.

Bottle courtesy of GT2, thanks! Hazy pale yellow color, scant edge head. Aroma of black and white pepper. Taste is moderately bitter straw. Nice.

Pale golden amber pour. The nose is softly spicy and a little bit fruity. Some soft peppery nose and a touch of light malt and sweet fruit. The nose is a little bit fruity and somewhat sweet but the palate is lighter than the nose would suggest. Light bodied and fresh with a decent palate. A bit light and lean. Some light crackery character from the malts. Nice.

500 ml bottle poured a hazy gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of bread, yeast, citrus and light floral notes. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, lemon zest and a hint of earthiness with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

Bottle shared by GT2. Pours pale yellow with a medium, fizzy white head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is sage, spices, straw and biscuit malt, earthy, herbal, and peppery. Flavor is malty with moderate spices, light hops and bitterness, salty and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth.

On tap at the brewpub (and a few bottles to take home). Pours with a slightly hazed golden body with a small white head. Aromas are bready, grainy, light fruity hoppy notes and some grassy notes. Very clean yeast wise. Minimal if any esters. Flavors are malty, bready, grassy and grainy. Malt is a little bit husky in the finish. Again, clean, no esters. Lively bubbles and dry with a bitter overall balance.

Bottle shared by GT2: pours a clear bright golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with some sage and lemon zest. Starts with good fullness and light malty sweetness with good balance of citrusy bittering hops and white pepper before a drying bittersweet finish. Smooth and very drinkable.

On tap at the brewpub. A good dry hoppy beer. Light orange coloured and very lacey. Lightly carbonated. A hoppy lemony treat.
