There is an old familiar saying in the wine business: "It takes a lot of great beer to make great wine!" Winemakers, cellar workers, and grape pickers alike rarely (if ever) reach for a nice big glass of red wine in the middle of harvest. Wine is quite delicious, but not very refreshing on a hot summer day. The beverage of choice during harvest is BEER! Ice-cold, refreshing and thirst-quenching BEER! The beer in this bottle is a toast to our winemaking friends who work around the clock during harvest to make world-class wine right here in our own back yard! Cheers!

Don’t think I would classify 2o14’s as a pilsner, and I like that. More like a hoppy session ipa. Supreme nose, appropriately bitter and a small.dose of mAlt. Very good indeed.

Hazy gold, thin small bubbled white ring. Dry, lightly toasty, husky nose, ton of citrus with a lightly woody sage spice that pulls malt back in, very integrated, soft with complimentary grass, dry earthy hops. Flavor is doughy malt, lightly dusty with more grain, faintest honey and hop bitterness but right amount, never masking, malt a bit dustier than pilsner but softness is sublime. I would bathe in this.

Very lovely herbal hop nose, light doughy malt. The taste is lightly sweet and moderately bitter, tons of awesome hoppiness, the malt is doughy and soft. With more of a crackers malt profile this would have rated even higher, but it’s awesome regardless.

500ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a white head. Fruity, citrus, bitter finish. Crisp and refreshing. Pilsner is not a style that I typically like but this is well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500mL bottle shared at a tasting. They made it clear this beer should not be aged (why anyone would want to in the first place is silly). Color is pale clear yellow, very pale. Has a nice large head. Aroma is netral hops, maybe a bit apple like and some cut grass. Flavor is very easy on the palate. Its very dry and has a soft bitter kick at the end of the throat. Clean, crisp, and a good hop bitterness. I really liked it, 8 dollars a sixer would be sweet for this beer.

Bottle poured into glass. Not sure how many hop forwards beers I’ve had from RR, maybe 2, but this is a great easy drinking hoppy beer. Nice floral hoppy aroma, same goes for the flavor. Not sure why this is under the saison category.

Poured two fingers of head on a clear, medium straw colored body. It looks great. The aroma has a good dry grain smell with some honey. The taste is moderate grapefruit bitterness throughout. There’s a sweet note towards the end, but the finish is a bitter bite. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. An excellent beer.

Clear orange with a foam that doesn’t last, but is attractive none the less. This is listed as a Pilsener however, it is definitely not your typical lagert. Russian River calls it a session ale. Smells, tastes, and finishes closer to an IPA. Citrus, hay, and mild bitterness. Finishes well too. There is NO wine in this beer.

Aroma: light malts, hay, notes of pear and apple, bread and yeast notes. Pours a hazy straw color, white head with average retention, excellent lacing. Flavor is very refreshing - light fruit notes, with pear and grapes coming through, also some apple. Bread, yeast, honey, and light malts, also some hints of spice. Light body, medium carbonation. Very nice session brew.
