On Tap at Liar’s Club: Beer pours light, cloudy gold color with an egg white head. Aroma of wheat, coriander and orange. Flavor follows the aroma. Very enjoyable example of Belgian Wit style.

The aroma had coriander, light fruit, yeasty notes, and a slight citrus notes. The beer poured a cloudy yellow color w/ slight head and slight lasting lacing. The flavor had coriander, light fruit, and yeast notes, but the flavor was thin. The mouthfeel was light and creamy, but watery.

Draught at Liars’ Club, San Diego. Bright, hazy yellow with a small white head that leaves great lacing behind. Aroma is yeasty and peppery. Body is a little thin, but pleasantly soft. Flavour is very nice, with yeast, lemon, spice - very well made example of the style.

Draft at Liars Club. Poured cloudy, light golden with a thin white head that left nice lacing. Aroma of sourdough, lemon, alfalfa and light spice. Nice, tart flavor, wheaty with bread, lemon, coriander and grass notes with herbal hops evident as well. Medium body and gentle carbonation. Good summer refresher.

Tap @ Toronado. A cloudy milky yellow color with a white head. Lots of banana in the aroma with a lemon yeasty flavor. Generally light in flavor (although refreshing) with a medium and soft body

Russian River has impressive depth in their overall beer selection and amazingly, they do almost all of them extremely well. They’re exceptionally creative and excel at both their IPA selections and Belgian offerings. This beer falls a little short, however, but is a good middle of the road beer. Difficult to detect the orange peel and coriander, both in aroma and taste, but this makes for a refreshing beer nevertheless. This would be great on a hot day, but if I had my druthers, I’d always go for a Pliny or one of their ’tions’ over this.
