On tap at the brewpub. Orange colour with a white head and spider webs of lace. Funky aromas. Grapefruit and malty. Belgian pale ale, that was like an APA with yeast. It was on the Belgian side of the board, and reported to me by the bartenders as a Belgian pale.Above average mouthfeel and drinkability, very good for a Belgian pale and totally not an APA.

Growler at the Shenandoah Throwdown. Pours a clear orange brown with a thin white head. Caramel, hops, tending toward dry British hop aromas, and bits of heather. Medium bodied, caramel. Finishes slow with some light tart hop bitterness. Decent.

Clear golden with a creamy white head. Sweet citrus aroma with hints of mild spice. Tastes of orange and pear with a nice malty beady finish.

Growler, Shenandoah Throwdown. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a small wispy white head that fell to a partial film. The nose has that odd cat-piss like note that I get from some hops with bready malt and a light hint of yeast. Nice bready malt flavor with some earthy hops, very nice bitterness level for the thickness of the body. Very bright and fresh tasting. Not a whole lot of Belgian character to me. Mouthfeel is light, airy, and fizzy with some light clinginess on the finish. Pretty nice beer.

Growler shared by kmweaver at Shenandoah 2010. Thanks Ken! Nose is medium sweet, light crisp citrus hops. Flavor was similar. Not altogether to interesting of a beer, yet I still craved more.

Draft @ Russian River, simply labeled "Noble Experiment", a Belgian pale ale. Pours a slightly hazy, medium orange-amber color; tiny-bubbled, off-white head with persistent fine-bubbled lacing. Very pleasant, noble-hop-focused aroma: spicy, floral; a light, doughy and bready yeast character with very light malt character at the core; a delicate, well-balanced, and clearly presented aroma; some red apple fruitiness present as well. Medium body: small, compact bubbles, lively carbonation, lightly creamy; the red apple note appears slightly more prominently here; medium doughy and bready core, along with that gorgeous noble hop character: spicy, floral, even a touch earthy; beautifully presented, carefully balanced; really nice Belgian pale here. Lasting, nicely bitter finish: floral, spicy, with hints of soft dough and bready notes; lovely stuff.

Growler shared by John. The pour is a clear golden with a one inch white head. The aroma is bright hop, along with a touch of onion, and light floral citrus hops. Very soft and inviting aroma. The taste is the light onion, then turns to grain malt, some dark cherry fruit and finishes with a bit of the citrus lemon. Light yeast character throughout. Flavors integrate really nicely throughout. The palate is medium to light bodied, very soft carbonation and general mouth feel. Nice, thanks for sharing John.

Growler courtesy of Mike and Janet. Rating #5. Dark gold light amber color. This was a hard beer to pin down for me, it was very clean, nice hops and a little bready. Flavor was much the same, just so crisp and clean and very tasty. (1217)
