3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg at Russian River, Santa Rosa, 27/04/14.
Light black with a moderate tan covering that retains well.
Nose is roast malt, dark toffee, light cocoa, faint coffee grinds.
Taste comprises milk chocolate, light roastings, hint of minerals, earthy cocoa, faint coffee.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate, drying close.
Nice easy drinker, quite a bit more depth to the flavour than your average dry stout - good work!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampler at Russian River. Pours dark brown. Very creamy, slight tan head. Quite thin body, very smooth and silky. Almost no carbonation. Sweet and bitter. Chocolate, vanilla, milk, burnt malt flavour. A very good stout. Reminds me of Guinness, but it’s way better.

Tasty and smooth stout. Thick and creamy head. A little bit fizzy. Flavour not as strong as some other stouts, making it a little easier drinking.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tried as part of a sampler at the brewery. This was a black pour with super creamy light brown khaki head. Chocolate and espresso on the aroma, plenty of roast to go along. Surprised at the big aroma for such a light stout. Big chocolate and roasted coffee flavor, finishes with lingering charred roast. This has more flavor than I have had in any dry stout. Nicely done. Very thin mouthfeel that goes down very easy with velvety carb. Not bad at all, and I would have this again despite this being one of my least favorite styles.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From sampler at the brewery. Dark brown pour. Smoky flavor, typical low nitro carbonation. I like the smokiness.
