COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wouldn't it suck to have a job where nobody likes you? And, regardless of your name, people always call you Rita, as in "Lovely Rita?" Sometimes people just shorten it to the simpler "meter maid." The funny thing about that is the Webster dictionary defines a "meter maid" as "a female member of a police department who is assigned to write tickets for parking violations." You have to wonder how the male "meter maids" feel about that! Parking Violation is an American style pale ale using lots of American hops, lots of quarters, and several trips back and forth to the parking lot. So, remember to drink responsibly and feed your meter.

Draft. Rich mahogony-amber color with a nice off-white head. Citrus hop aroma. Citrus flavor with some pine and earthiness and a touch of malt backing.

On tap at the brewpub. The look is clear, golden in color, with a decent white colored head. The smel is citrus, caramel, bitterness, and earth. Good aroma. The taste is light bitterness, pine, caramel, and hops.

Fresh growler shared at a BeerAdvocate event. This is a pale ale and not an IPA? Wow. Appearance is, well, pale. Bright golden in color with a nice creamy white head. Piney and floral hops and some sweet malt on the aroma, a lot like Russian River IPA or Blind Pig. Flavor is sweet malt and loads of fresh piney hops with a hint of light fruits. Medium body with a light, refreshing, and crisp mouthfeel. Top notch for the style and an excellent summer session beer.

Growler from alex. Thanks man... Pours a hazy apple cider brown with a medium soapy white head... Grassy mellow citrusy hop, pretty tame... Flavors are a quaffable earthy citrus component without much of a bitterness. Drinkable but not as memorable. A really nice palate cleanser nonetheless. Non-obtrusive and easily imbibed.

Draft @ Russian River. Pours a clear, bright effervescent orange color; fluffy white head with great retention and lacing. Loads of clean, fresh earthy bitterness in the aroma, with a touch of candy sugar beneath; refreshing. Hugely drinkable pale ale: juicy orange and earthy bitterness, minimal astringency, perfect levels of carbonation, and just incredibly juicy and generous and crisply drinkable; excellent, excellent rendition. Lasting finish: toasty breadiness, some honey; nicely dry and mineral bitterness at the far end.

(Draft: OíBrienís in San Diego, CA) Perhaps Iím spoiled by all the double IPAs out now, but just hoppy pale ales donít inspire me that much any more; This is a good brew, but pretty average to me for the craft brew industry; This is a mild flavored pale ale initially, hoppy, moderately bitter, mildly sweet, with a fairly light maltiness that allows the hops to dominate, but especially in the finish which is all hops; But without more of a malty backbone, Iím just not all that impressed; The nose is mildly hoppy, but nothing is really standing out here; Medium bodied, and fairly clean and crisp on the palate; Medium golden color; Sizeable off-white head is frottthy on top and has average retention; Fairly dense coating of intricate lacing is left on the glass

On tap @ the brewpub. Clear golden orange with a 1/2 finger off-white head, fading to a thick creamy film. Earthy floral hops up front with some resiny pine behind. There is a light earthy caramel backbone. Flavor is much the same, which reminds me quite a bit of their current Hop 2 It (Sterling batch), so I just guess that RR mustíve had a gigantic amount of extra Sterlings this year. On more than one occasion I thought they brought me the wrong beer. Bitterness peaks at a 4 in the semi-dry finish. Moderate carbonation with a light to medium body. Great lacing--just a sheet on my glass, actually. Pretty good APA

This brew pours with an orange-gold body topped by a thin head with some lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet yet bitter and fruity. Not overly aromatic. Damn! can we say bitter. The flavor is bitter, piney and hoppy with peppery notes and a slight grassiness. Medium bodied, smooth and slightly warming.
