3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Glass at RR. Aroma and flavor of banana esters and wild yeast. Nice hoppy aroma and flavor, but not really my style. Pretty good beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
One of their weakest offerings, I think. Smells metallic, slightly dank, mouthfeel is bready, malty slight hop presence, mostly dry. It is overall quite one dimensional and rather plain in my opinion. Finishes with a dry, almost metallic taste I don’t enjoy. Carbonation is lively. Meh.

Draught @ Russian River, Santa Rosa, CA
Pours murky orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of earthy notes, yeast, spices, hops and grass. Taste is smooth, earthy and yeasty with some grass, fruity hops and spices. Finish is yeasty and a bit stuffy with some smooth ripe fruitness. Quite untypical Biere de garde.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A bit of a let-down compared to other Russian River fare. Cloudy, with an unusual taste that I couldn’t quite place.

A pretty okay biere de garde. Malty with a sharp hop bite at the end. Some dirty malt character brought it down. Tried at the brewery in 2014.
