4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Had this before.. was amazed.. now I am on rate beer so I decided I needed to rate it. Amazing.. aroma is like clean pine. Taste is nice hope pine with a clean finish. The thing that I love about this beer is a strong hop in the front with a so smooth clean finish. Love the pale ale line of beers and this is the champ for me personaly.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from a very friendly guy. Hoppy smell with citrus and tropical fruits. In the background I find a malty aroma going towards cookies. Similar taste with a sweet cookie and caramel finish. Very easy to drink with a high "hinkability". No harshness at all. It feels like the hops are a bit aged even though the bottle was just over a month old. Still a great beer though. Nice to see a beer that lives up to the hype.

(Russian River Pliny the Elder) Bottle 510 ml, from a trade with stawn, thanks! Served into a shaker, ABV 8%. 26 days old.
Bright golden orange colour on the body, clear. Good sized white head, thick enough with very good retention, leaving heavy lacing on the glass/
Great aroma with lots of citrus, pine, floral notes.grapefruit, some tropical fruits too.
Great taste, even better than the aroma I dare say. Lots of fresh hops, lots of pine, plenty of floral notes, still some citrus and grapefruit, , some fruity touches on the very finish. Not an extremely bitter one, instead one with a well balanced bitterness, and a long-lasting one.
Medium body, mildly dry on the palate. Nicely carbonated. Extremely high drinkability.
Great beer, words fail me.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
6th Feb 2015 and I finally get my hands on a bottle of this beer. 3rd Belgian Beer Board website bottle exchange in De Bierboom, Brugge. The bar owner Rudy had been given two bottles of this and kept one for the exchange evening. He knew I wanted to try it, so early on in the evening he ’palmed me’ the bottle for drinking later. At midnight with only about six people left I broached the bottle and we all had a decent sized sample.
Poured a golden amber with a weak white head. Aroma was citrusy hops and semi-sweet malts: mild tropical fruitiness hints also. The taste was more malty than the nose intimated with a biscuit like flavour, tempered with a fruity backbone. Expected a hoppier, bitter tasting brew to be honest, liked what I had though and the hops were always in the background waiting to pounce, even though they didn’t.

This is my style of brew. This one was about a month and a half old. Still very sweet and tasty. Great looking brew as it pours a golden yellow with a wonderful white head. Good lacing. Enjoy the gem and get one fresh. The fresher the hops the better.
