| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Feb 8, 2009 I believe I saw Bobby91w pouring this one around. Thanks to turdferguson for sharing his glass. Pours a nice sharp translucent gold with a thin white head. The nose is very pungent and fruity, lovely hop profile, mango and citrus, pink grapefruit rind, very upfront resinous hop character. The flavor is fruity and citrusy as well, soft spicy bitterness, grapefruit rind, some mango, mildly sweet. Palate is very well balanced with a soft bitterness. tjthresh (1782), Greenfield, Indiana, USA

Dank pine and Juicy Fruit nose. Just a big bold blend of hop goodness. Medium body. Balanced finish. Certainly a great beer, I’m just not sure it lived up to my expectations. bhensonb (4401), Woodland, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2009 Tap at Bistro DIPA festival. Dark golden color with a frothy off-white head. Huge citrus aroma. Medum body with fine carbonation. Hopburn! Yea, it’s bitter, but it burns. Mixed citrus/resin? Taste buds wiped. Super brilliant. Nik925 (305), California, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Feb 7, 2009 Strong amazing hop aroma. Think and dry. Awesome all around. The bubbles even move through the beer slowly its so thick. The bitterness is kept in check. An amazing hop presence. My vote for best DIPA at the Bistro’s DIPA festival. Poured a hazy orange with a white head. Super floral aroma, some orange citrusy as well, just smelled awesome. Super smooth flavor, very drinkable for 11%, very well balanced and overall one of the finest beers I have ever had. ZazuH (42), Brentwood, California, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 6, 2009 (draught) Bright amber pour w/ little head to speak of. Hop nose is HUGE floral (honeysuckle), piney, citrusy... it goes on and on. Flavor is just as intense w/ grapefruit zest up front, followed by resinous pine and floral character. Malt is subdued, but provides an elegantly smooth mouthfeel. Alcohol is undetectable... until you stand up! Great beer! golubj (1301), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 3, 2009 Draft at the brewery. Light amber pour with a little head. Aroma is very hoppy, oily, and pine bitterness. Flavor has some bite as well, complimented by sharp malt, sweet malt and some citrus. Good beer.
