Tap. Dark brown with tan head. Aromas of tart dark fruit, chocolate, toasted malt, and wood. Flavor is a big tart front with sweet fruit then a toasted malt and chocolate undertone with a oaky finish. Light funk to it. Acidic.

Sweet on the nose, nice tanginess without being overpoweringly sour. Quite sweet and tart. Nicely balanced. Shame this is a limited release - its excellent!

Pours a dark brown with a khaki head. Brown sugar, smoky, sour, bottom of the garbage can. Wet mouthfeel. Smooth sourness. Oak barrel smoothed the moutfheel and sourness very well.

Draft at RR. Pours a dark, murky cola-brown; thin, light-tan head. Plenty of balsamic vinegar in the aroma, along with lots of red fruitiness and lighter notes of milk chocolate and caramel. Medium-full body, moderate CO2; an acetic-forward sour, though seemingly lactic softness behind; red fruits, roast, citrus, and a light edge of bitter chocolate; bit of a phenolic edge; similar to The Bruery Tart of Darkness, with a slightly rounder and more acetic focus. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, chocolate, oak, tart and hint of caramel. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium sour with a long tart, sour and chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a hazy dark brown to black body and a small, dense, light beige head. Lightly vinegar-ish aroma with lots of dried fruits. Some notes of chocolate and coffee. Its full bodied and quite tart, pleasantly carbonated. Dried fruits, figs and prunes, roasted notes and a tart lemony touch. Lasting finish. Well worth a revisit this one. 130807

On draft at the brewpub. It pours a nice dark reddish brown with almost no head. Aroma is awesome with black current and tart cherry fruit and some light notes of balsamic, funk and dark malts. No roasted malt. The flavor is tart and leathery with black cherry, balsamic and perceptible roasted malt in a funky finish. Great complex tart dark fruit character. Loved it.
