4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
On tap at Local 44. Color is a light copper. Aroma is all citrus hops. An awesome bouquet of hops. The taste does not disappoint! Hoppy in the best way, citrusy and bitter. This was a great beer from Russian River. The story behind it is amusing, but what a great thing for RR to do for the fans in Philly. If you have the chance, by all means check this out. Reminds me of Pliny The Younger.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
orangish copper color with heavy head presence, maybe an inch and a half which reduces nicely to a strongly present lacing that shadows the beer as it lowers down the glass. although there are fruity (grapefruit) piney hops and a sweet, honey-like taste upfront, the beer seemed to be more bitter upfront and then flowed or transitioned into a smooth and fruitier aftertaste that lingered for a while, which is the opposite of most beers like it from my experience. it certainly did not taste like the 9% abv and its smoothness and drinkability could be dangerous if you don’t watch yourself!
