COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Belgian style Strong Dark Ale has a tawny brown color and aromas of banana and spice that dominate the initial bouquet of the beer. Lean malt flavors blend perfectly with fruit driven characteristics created by the classic Belgian yeast which fermented this ale. The alcohol content is deceptively smooth just like its sister beer Damnation. Brewed just once a year for a release in January.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dry, moderate yeasty, dark fruit, psicy yeast notes. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet with a long duration, tart, caramel, dry. Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thick light orange head. The aroma is sweet and very spicy with especially cinnamon coming thru, while the flavor is sweet malty again with a strong spicy note, but here cloves are the strongest component. The end is dry with a spicy note still lingering around.

Bottled. Dark ruby, creamy head. Fascinating aroma of lemon, aniseed and licorice. Sweet and densely malty with medium body. Licorice and aniseed are on full display overshadowing grainy roasty flavours and plums. Soft and dangerously drinkable. Salty finish. A beer with lots of character.

Cloudy brown ale. Malty and slightly chocolately like a Scotch ale but with the crispness and sourness of a Belgian. Dry semi sweet finish.

Bottle @ French Oktoberfest Tasting Ulfborg, 2012. Pours deep ruby amber with a lasting head. Candy, caramel, dark fruit, prune and raisin and a bit of chewing gum. Chewy malty. Fine depth and really tasty stuff.
