Had on draft at the brewery. Notes of butter/diacetyl/maybe from caramel malts, caramel, citrusy, fruity. The buttery flavor made it so I did not really enjoy this beer.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2013 On tap at the brewpub. Pour is slightly hazy golden orange in appearance with a big white head and great lacing. Grapefruity, piney, citrusy, grassy, biscuity, candied fruits, straw, light caramel, lemon zest, and orange peel in the aroma. Taste is citrusy, piney, lightly grassy, a touch of weed, sticky fruits, biscuity, grapefruit, fruit peels, straw, and bready with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Seriously tasty sessionable APA.

10 ounce sample on tap at Russian River. Spicy hop aroma with light caramel sweetness and nice herbal character. Transparent ruddy copper body with a small, fizzy whitish head and good lacing. Starts herbal and spicy with a good deal of hop flavor. Almost a bit of a rye quality present. Light maltiness in the middle, without too much sweetness. Finishes dry and fairly bitter. Pretty good, if not forgettable.

Backlog purge. On tap at the brewery. Dark bronze color with a white head. Toffee and lemon zest flavor, kind of a strange combo but intriguing. Takes some getting used to but it’s very drinkable.

Pours a nice light amber, white head. Aroma is nice and hop forward. Citrus, grapefruit peel. The hop aroma is delicate and the yeasty/malt chararcter of the malt shines well. Flavor is crisp, lightly bitter, so delicate but bold at the same time...yeah I know it doesn’t make sense. So go and drink it...then it will.

A - Pours a clear golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lace. S - Aroma is a mix of citrus and pine hops with a some sweet caramel malt and a bit of biscuit. T - Starts off with some grapefruit and pine hops with some bitterness and a bit of sweet malt in the background. Through the middle, more pine and earthy flavors with a touch of floral flavor come through with a bit of biscuit. The finish is a mix of resiny pine and some grapefruit hops with some sweet caramel malt. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a resiny, bitter, and dry finish. D - Very drinkable. Nice balanced APA. The hop profile is complex with a great balance of flavor and bitterness throughout.
