COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the great Hitchcock movie filmed in Santa Rosa in 1943. This Imperial Porter packs a rich chocolate and light smoked malt character with a very soft, dry finish.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. 10 % ABV. Clear dark brown with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and a little cocoa. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and roasted rather bitter finish. 251014

A really nice imperial porter. Dark, rich, and roasty. A lot of chocolate and less coffee. Picked up in SF in 2014.

Bottle from the brewery. I had this in India. How many awesome ticks can you get in India? Not many. Dark brown/black in color with a well-formed tan head. Big coffee and chocolate aroma with a hint of sweet rum. Sweet malty flavor, rather chocolatey with good bitterness level. Smooth, soft palate with medium-full body. Really good! Nice to see Vinnie branching out a bit.

Thanks to errl for sharing this one. Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma has some huge chocolate notes a swell as some roasted malt. The flavor is more of the same with the addition of some mint and very light smoke. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice porter.

"Very dark brown, mocha head. Great aroma of roasted chocolate malt, light smoke. Body is robust but smooth, showing very little of the nearly 10%. Flavor is dry, chocolate roast and coffee, light hops and smoke. A very well put together beer. Will try the bottle soon :)"

Sample @ Quintessence 2014.
Magnifique!
