| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2010 Pours ruby-brown with one finger head. Aroma is cherry and red fruit, a little funk and lacto. Carbonation is high/medium-high. The brew is quite sour, and has wonderful flavor of fruit and oak. The finish doesn’t linger long. A fantastic beer. popery (263), San Francisco, California, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 7, 2010 Batch 04x1. Supplication is a wonderful beer. This is the third time that I’ve tried it, and my appreciation for Russian River’s brewing only grows. This is probably my favorite of their normal sour rotation. It is a rust-colored beer with a big, white, small-bubbled head. The aroma is a symphony of cherries, oak, brett, fruity malt, old leather, apricots, plums and grass. The flavor is tart and dry but smooth, pulling in the wide array of flavor to a wonderful harmony. The flavors in Supplication are a tad more balanced against each other than most RR sours (no complaints about any of them, though) without any particular flavor dominating. The mouthfeel is light and mildly effervescent. It’s a very refreshing beer and I can’t help going back for more. Absolutely delicious. pilgrimoutlaw (39), Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 31, 2010 This is ... well sour. Had a glass from the tap at Teresa’s following a consecration. This is dryer and more sour. It has a fairly strong aroma of cherries. Overall, a great beer that reminds me of a dry champagne. madmitch76 (1100), , Essex, England

Sharp lambic nose followed by a sour taste! Fortunately it isn’t a bottle of lemon juice. The cherries are subtle. Nicely balanced and drinkable sour although I wish there was more barrel characteristics coming through. alexsdad06 (1210), Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 31, 2009 375ml bottle, batch 2. Pours a hazy reddish golden brown color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma is tart cherries, woody, acidic and moderately sour. The Brett fingerprints are there as well. The flavor is heavy with tart cherries, caramel malts, woody, and an overall sourness that is very drinkable. This is extremely well crafted. Medium bodied and smooth. I had this batch when it was fresh and it has aged wonderfully.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Orange, long lasting off white head, good lacing.
Aroma is lightly sour, good amount of citrus, some sweetness, cheese.
Flavour is fairly sharp, acidic, lots of citrus, pink grapefruit tartness, good funk, sweetness lingers throughout.
Tart mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation.
Finishes long, tart, high acidity, dry.
Pretty damn good. Each sip brings new flavours and even more complexity. Best American brewery.
375ml bottle obtained in a trade with TheCheeseMan, thanks Dan.
