| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2006 Where do I start, with the wonderful sour notes that waft to you nose or the dark fruits that come with it. The wood and Pinot come thru nicely but just enough to inform you of there presence. Sour and well balanced beer that is better with each bottle. jimvy (131), O’Fallon, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2006 GABF 2006. Light copper color, slight haziness, good head retention. Aroma is oak, cherries, sourness--awesome. Flavor - sour dominates, cherry in the background, followed by some oak and tannins. Very dry. Finishes smooth.. Overall, very nice beer, but a little more body would improve it. tjthresh (1782), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 1, 2006 Lots and lots of samples at the GABF 06. This thing wreeks of funk and tart cherries. I love it. Golden straw color with lively carbonation with a spritzy white head. The cherries come through very nicely. Oat and then the bugs. Awesome stuff. Next time they are selling the barrel stuff online, I’m pulling the trigger. hophead75 (1964), Boonton, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is brett, light caramel malts, some light funkiness, fruits and wood. Taste is lightly sour cararmel malt, brett, oak, some wet basement like taste, with a dry tart finish. a great beer. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 18, 2006 Bottle, with ClarkVV and Sully. Beautiful stuff. Hazy deepish orange/amber. Aroma is sour and oaky, slightly wild, citruc, berries and oak. Beautiful mouthfeel and flavour. Juicy, acidic, sour, yet quite smooth and refreshing. Lightly caramelly malts also noticed, but this is more about the bret characters, and that wonderfuly vinous, oaky, juicy cherry character (or characters as it were). This was very well balanced, and something i really would like to try again. Fantastic. DTB (51), South Philly, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 15, 2006 This beer pours an amber cherry color with a thin uniform bubble head that is sustained by a few little bubbles from the bottom. There isn’t any lace as the head just slides down the side.
Smells strongly of oak with a bit of cherries, mandarin orange, raisins and a pungent chemical smell.
The flavor is at first dominated by oak, but then transitions into a delightful wild cherry and sour milk flavor and then finishes with a clean oak that left my tongue tingling.
The mouth feel is light to medium with a smooth carbonation.
This is an awesome sipper. Definitely give this a whirl. Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 18, 2006 Poured a slightly murky amber brown, medium head. Nice sour cherry aroma with some vinegar. Palate wasn’t thick, but there was plenty of flavor - sweet fruits, raisins, sour cherries - a little puckering tartness, and all encased in an oakey layer. Finishes dry and then you want some more.
