Pours a hazy, dark brownish ruby color with a half finger head that dissipates very slowly and leaves a blanket of lacing. Tons of sediment, but that is expected with the amount of yeast added. Smells of funky, sour cherries, oak, vinegar, grapes, lots of funkiness. Lots of dryness that really does give it a wine-like smell. Smells almost like a cherry warhead. Taste starts with a very astringent, dry, sour cherry flavor, as well as some oak and funkiness. Then get some of the brown ale qualities: slight breadiness, maybe some cocoa (but i could just be imagining that), some carmel malt. Then the astringent sour notes from the brett and bacteria come back even stronger, along with lots more cherry, grape, funkiness, vinegar, oak, some carmel. Extremely dry finish that blends the wine and the beer qualities nicely. So sour, yet extremely balanced. High medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Very lively carbonation from the refermentation that does give it a very champagne-like crisp finish. Very complex and so delicious. Just getting into this style, but I have a feeling I wonít come across many sours better than this one. Hope to try this again someday.

Russian River Suplication - aromat dziki, bardzo rustykalny z lekkim wspomnieniem wiśni. Pachnie jak typowy lambik. Smak średnio kwaśny lekko octowy, wisniowy, agrestowy, cytrynowy, winny.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2016 Tart nose, tart flavor. Seems a lot like a Granny Smith apple lying on the ground. Really donít get the allure to people who enjoy drinking this.

Bottle batch 100815. Cherries filled the air with a loud pop. Cherries and sour nose. Flavor matches but some wood as well. Smooth. Absolutely lovely!

Bottle shared by ippopotamo36 @King Arthur (Rome), thanks Alberto! Pours reddish with a medium to little white head. Aroma of cherry, pinot noir, barnyard, dust, cellar mold. Flavour is vinous, citric, lactic, lots of red fruits, astringency. High body, medium to light carbonation. Rough and aggressive, but astonishing!

On tap at RR. Little head and light carbonation. Thin body for such complex taste. Sour cherry, oak, pinot, strawberry, funk deliciousness. Up there with the best sours in the world.

Small pour at a tasting, consumed on 5-7-16. Pours copper, clear with a little haze. Sour, malty aroma features scents of apple cider and purple grape. Really pleasant smell. Tart, sour taste. Lemon juice. Bitter. Metallic. Fresh, kettle-style sour mixed with a substantial, barrel-aged quality. Perfectly executed. Frothy in the palate. Really good.

Bottle from trade. Dark caramel color. Aroma has some cherries along with the wine barrel. Taste is acidic up front with dry wine finish. Not picking up much cherry in the taste. Really well done.
