I’m new to sours but really enjoyed this. Pours light brown, thin white head that disappeared. Smells tart with a cherry hint to it. Taste is well balanced with the sourness and perfect amount of tart cherry bite. This might be my gateway to sours.

Sour nose, amber appearance. Lighter than the consecration, but harsher aftertaste with some serious sour. Lip-pursing.

Wild fruit and barnyard....cherries and brown malt aroma with a very nice oak vinious balance. Very nicely carbonated with champgne like bubbles, a very special dry finish...A+++++

Bottle pour shared. Thanks T! Pours a reddish orange with a super sour cherry aroma from quite a distance. One of the most sour beers I’ve come across. And I’ve been looking. Sour cherries and berry. Wine like beer, but not a bad thing at all. Loved this beer to say the least.

Sample @ Quintessence 2014.
Finale surette. Bien

Pours yellow in color with little to no head. Aroma is sour cherries, lacto, and wine. The taste is lightly sour with a little bit of cherries and then the Pinot barrels come through in the finish. Very approachable for non-sour fans IMO. One of the best. Love it.

On draught during Bailey’s Taproom’s Seventh Anniversary Barrel-Aged BeerFest. Dark golden amber color. Aroma is vinegar and basement funk, dark cherry, and Chardonnay. Taste is similar to aroma, but the flavors mesh better and have a woodsy element. Well-balanced sour.
