Great hue to the body. At first pour, there’s no lacing and a thin white head that quickly dissipates into a ring. Overall, vinous, but rather than grapes it’s cherries really -- a cherry wine quality. Lightly carbonated and sour, but not mouth-puckering so. It’s smooth and funky. I like it. Finish the bottle with its sediment and suddenly the body is murky with an off-white head. Bittersweet, sour, and dry. This is nice, interesting and dynamic.

Des cerises pointues dans un enrobage pinot élégant. L’effervescence est brillante et aiguise les saveurs, bonne minéralité et finale sèche, vineuse.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Batch 3 was toasty, a bit woody and with just a slight tartness. The fruit was starting to drop out. Batch 4 was fairly clean with the acid, and with balanced fruitiness. Seemed in its prime. Batch 5-2 was fresh, tart, fruity, and stil a little bit yeasty. Batch 5-5 was the weakest of the bunch, malty, not very lively at all. A dud, if you will. Of the 5, the Batch 4 and Batch 5-2 were my favourites.

No retention and no lacing. Smells of Pinot noir, sour Cherri's and apples. Tastes of sour cherries and grapes.

These do not disappoint. Meaning, the RR sours. Sour esters with a hint of wood and grain. A golden brown color with hits of red. Nice foamy head. Full and dry palate. Big flavor of tart fruit, caramel grain and a funky sharp finish. Refined and complex.

Russian River is always great. You have to like sour ales. Good color. Aroma of cherries gives nice start and finishes well.

375ml bottle. Vinous aroma with notes of cherry. Pours orangish-brown with a lot of carbonation and a thin white head and absolutely no lacing. Rich carbonation in the mouthfeel. Starts quite smooth actually with the sweetness of the cherries coming through nicely. Finishes very tart with the cherry flavor lingering as well as a vinous red wine character that lingers on the palate. Excellent sour.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a vibrant copper color, hues of gold/pink. Small head, fine carbonation. Aromas of tart cherry, wet oak, cobweb, grape skin and light earthy notes. Taste is very tart upfront, acidic, vinous and loaded with oak. Notes of citrus, fresh cut flowers and an herbal accent make appearances. Lively carbonation keeps the tart present throughout. Finishes very crisp and dry. Excellent American Sour/Wild.
