Bottle. The pour was a medium murky chestnut brown with an average sized (1-2 finger) creamy light beige head, that reduced slowly to a thin layer of foam with a collar producing some mighty fine sheeting of sticky lacing. The aroma was bold and fruity with a dark bread malt and some Brett yeast along with some notes of cherry, oak and a bit of red wine. The taste was incredibly sweetly tart and very malty with a slight hint of wine in the beginning, then becoming boldly sour with a nice strong malty cherry presence and a hint of oak at the end. The flavor lasted a very long time allowing for the sour cherry wine flavor to be fully enjoyed as it relaxed on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was a solid medium in body with a creamy dry texture and a carbonation reminiscent of champagne. Overall, all that has to be said is WOW what an incredible brew. This brew was most likely one of the best things I have ever put to my lips. Just sayin’...

Shared 12.68 oz./375 ml. bottle, poured to snifters displaying a hazed, amber/copper hue, with soft white head foam, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was tart cherry, not necessarily wild, but under control, yeasty funk, woodiness, light tannic astringency, and mild vinous hints. The taste continued with a nicely balanced play on sweet & tart, and a pleasantly dry & fruity finish. Very nice! Thanks for donating to the cause, Bob S..

P: Dark amber/red and a one finger head that goes away in a flash. S: Dark cherries, oak, earthy, some orange peel, grapes and wine. T: Very nice oak, cherries, grapes, with light yogurt tartness in the end. M: Light and puckery. O: My first supplication in a long time, and did not disappoint.

Bottle. Hazy apple juice like appearance with a thin off white head. Aroma is vinous with tart cherry and musty funk. Taste follows pretty close. Excellent balance. Medium thick mouthfeel. Absolutely outstanding.

This amber gold beer has an aroma of cherries and wine. It has a subtle sweetness but hits you really strongly sour. Almost champagne like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very interesting beer. Pours a clear orange. Smells great, lots of wine, some green apples. Taste is extremely tart, but complex and tasty. Tastes like sweet tarts. Had in the bottle.

Wow, this beer lived up to the hype. Great tart aroma and the fruitiness is fantastic - great cherry and berry taste. Doesn’t look like anything, but what sour does? So well balanced and full bodied, really remarkable.

Bottle courtesy of Falco242. Thanks mike for sharing what I know is likely to be a favorite for you. Brett, cheries and apples in the nose. Dark brown. Tart on the drier side with layers accentuated by a long Brett finish. Gets better and better.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
