COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Toronado 25th Anniversary Ale started out as six individual brews, each with their own personality, and all incorporating Brettanomyces and or micro-organisms. Once the barrel aging was complete, Russian River’s Vinnie Cilurzo and Toronado’s David Keene got together to create the final blend. To create its fine carbonation, we refermented the Toronado 25th Anniversary Ale in this bottle. Spent yeast cells form a thin layer of sediment in the bottom of this bottle. Pour slowly, allowing the natural yeast sediment to remain in the bottle.
From the label: The beer inside this bottle is for consumption only. This bottle is not a collectable bottle unless it is empty.

Pours a dark wooden reddish color with some nice initial off white head. Aroma is of oak, dark berries, acid, marshmallows and vanilla with some alcohol apparent. Not as complex and funky as other normal RR offerings. Taste unfortunately seems to be rather dull for a RR sour lacking complexity. Taste is mostly acidic dark berries, some musty oak, and alcohol. This feels a bit thin and lacking in the palate department as well. The unbalanced acidity might be the culprit. Overall, very underwhelmed by this. I’d rather have any of RR’s normal offerings over this. Glad it was split and shared 4 ways.

Really tasty. Extra tart and oaky with heavy courants and a light funkiness. Hugely reminiscent of Consecration to me which is not a bad thing, as that is a fantastic beer, but I was hoping for a bit of something different. Still great.

Bottle thanks to Chad. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy white head that lasts while. The aroma is a strong funk, citrus, and yeast. Thin mouthfeel with very nice tart and light oak with very sour finish. Easy to drink, a very impressive Sour ale from Russian River.

Bottle generously shared by dschiller @ Woodshed 2.0! Light copper pour with hints of crimson at its core. Funk, fruit, mineral water, and citrus acidity along with a bit of vinegar here. Pick up some unripened raspberry, tart cherry skin, and grapes still on the vine. Green. Leafy. Good.

750 ml bottle to snifter (shared with the group). Looks good; a fairly transparent copper with sticky off-white lacing. Smells good too; sweet, oaky, and funky with notes of caramel malt. Tastes like it smells with a nice, lively mouthfeel. Great beer!
