3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured two fingers of head on a clear, amber colored body.
The aroma is grapefruit, orange, and cottage cheese (weird).
The taste has a strong grapefruit and lemon bitterness beginning to end. Nothing subtle about this.
The texture is crisp with soft edges and moderate carbonation.
It’s a bit bold on the bitter side without any balance or complexity.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Hayduke. We had it together via facebook chat. This pours an effervescent amber gold and has a big almost white head. Nice lacing that slides down. This has west coast IPA written all over it from the aroma. Big citrus and caramel behind that and that is in the flavor. Cascade is a hop that too many have moved on from. To me it is like a fastball down the middle, like a layup for two. This is the roots of the American craft beer revolution. Hopefully we will never move too far from exactly what this beer is. Nicely done.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This bomber was shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat and came from the Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, CA. Priced at only $3.99. Pours a dark gold with a large creamy off-white head and great lacing, Nose is caramel malts with citrus and a little floral hops. Medium in body. Smooth clean mouth feel. . Flavor is a nice caramel malt backbone with a good dose of citrus and great bitterness. The finish is bitter. Really refreshing for a beer with this much flavor and bitterness. Solid IPA. My rating may seem high but I like what I like. This is really good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Ruth’s. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of citrus peel, floral and some cereal malt. Flavor is lots of bitter hops, malt for balance and alcohol well hidden. Medium body with a dry mouth feel. Really nice beer, tasted really fresh, nice and dry.

poured from the bomber. As per bnoel09 recommendation. Aroma is grainy and of Nugget hops. Possibly summit. Flavour is similar. Overall yes its bitter, but I do not see the citrus.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 ounce bottle purchased from Nugget in Woodland. The aroma on this is sweet and sugary with candi sugars present. Light soapiness present with a little resiny pine hop aroma. Rather herbal. Lacking for an IPA. Mildly hazy golden copper body with a frothy, creamy off-white head present, which is quite strong. Starts herbal and piney, with significant hop flavors. Quite bitter from the get-go. Some burnt tannins make their way through in the middle, before this finishes harshly bitter with some dank hop flavors, followed by an intense grapefruit hop blast. Amazingly bitter and hoppy, despite the weak aroma. Not really balanced, but a hop head would love this.
