Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Reddish brown colour with thick lasting cream head. Rich biscuity caramel throughout. Hop finish kind of balances the sweetness of the caramel and there is some green apple as well. There is nothing to hold the whole thing together it lacks cohesiveness.

Beer Engine: Dark brown orange with minimal head. . . deep malty aroma - reminds me of Kalamazoo Bells malt. . . soft sweet, chewy caramel. Creamy palate with some cotton candy flavours along with caramelized bananas and soft pears.

Cask, Golden Lion, Rochester. Sweetish malt with citric balance. Pale amber colour. Apple on the nose - ripe and juicy. A pleasant modern bitter.

Nuffield (3348) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 11, 2003
Plain bitter. Pretty standard amber-red appearance with a bit of an irregular head. Mild aroma, slightly buttery with a suggestion of popcorn. Watery palate, relieved by only a faint hint of life later in the finish. Lacking support, some maltiness but weak. (on tap, Willow Walk [Weatherspoons], London)
