Deep brown colour with a tan head. Malty, light earthy and chocolate sweet aroma with roasted coffee bitter notes. Roasted, light coffee bitter flavor with some sweet notes. Dry, light toasted malty finish with a light sweet note.

Bottle. Dark brown coloured with a small off white head. Light roasted aroma of coffee and chcolate. Light roasted flavour of chocolate, coffee, caramel, malts and hops. Roasted and hoppy finish.

Bottle. Pours a black body, seems there’s a brown hue, with a small, dense, beige head. Burnt, sweetish aroma with a fruity start. A more thorough sniff reveals dark chocolate and coffee. Burnt, coffee-bitter, yet quite fruity flavor. Dark chocolate here as well. The finish is very coffee-bitter and burnt, and lasts for a long time. As in the initial flavor and aroma, there’s fruityness here as well. There’s also a rather unusual bitter flavor, leading my thoughts to broccoli. Full to medium body. I could wish for more hop-bitterness in this beer, but on the other hand, it’s a schwarzbier. I also wish that the flavor could be as nice as the aroma, but it’s missing something there. Still it’s a very nice beer. (071215)

Bottled. Dark reddish brown coloured. Chocolate, roasted malts and some caramel in the aroma and in the flavour. Soft and smooth. Medium bodied. Nice.
