Dark brown coloured with a small off white head.
Light roasted aroma of coffee and chcolate.
Light roasted flavour of chocolate, coffee, caramel, malts and hops.
Roasted and hoppy finish. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 26, 2008 Bottle. Pours a black body, seems there’s a brown hue, with a small, dense, beige head. Burnt, sweetish aroma with a fruity start. A more thorough sniff reveals dark chocolate and coffee. Burnt, coffee-bitter, yet quite fruity flavor. Dark chocolate here as well. The finish is very coffee-bitter and burnt, and lasts for a long time. As in the initial flavor and aroma, there’s fruityness here as well. There’s also a rather unusual bitter flavor, leading my thoughts to broccoli. Full to medium body. I could wish for more hop-bitterness in this beer, but on the other hand, it’s a schwarzbier. I also wish that the flavor could be as nice as the aroma, but it’s missing something there. Still it’s a very nice beer. (071215) Hildigöltur (5056), København Ø, Denmark Dec 29, 2007 Bottled. Dark reddish brown coloured. Chocolate, roasted malts and some caramel in the aroma and in the flavour. Soft and smooth. Medium bodied. Nice. gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 28, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, fruit, burned, cocoa. Flavour is seet, hop, dry, roasted, cocoa. Nice beer.
