Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark Jun 1, 2007 Fynske Øldage 2005, Odense. Beautiful red mahogany color and a nice head. The nose is met by clove and tangerine and I find these notes in the flavour too together with sweetness, roasted malt, caramel and some dark fruits. It’s a nice Chrismas beer, but I would like it to have more body. Love_Caissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 30, 2006 Extremely spicy (cloves and other christmas spices) but unfortunately also quite watery. Moreover, I find the high acidity unpleasant. Jeppe (2635), Ølbutikken, Denmark Jan 17, 2006 Got this for 20kr on sale after christmas which isn’t bad, so how is it? Pours dark brownred (looks like gløgg) with a small tan head. Aroma is very christmas dominated by clove and sweet berries and sweet candy, nice! Flavor is milder, but still with a taste of christmas. Clove again, cinnamon and malt. Dry finish. Not a bad beer and definately one of the better from this otherwise disappointing brewery. Habanero (466), Tranbjerg, Denmark Jan 9, 2006 Bottle: hazy red colour. Nice beige head. Christmas spices in the noise: cinnamon, cloves and oranges. Ginger and the other spices in the flavour - some sweetness and malt too. It is rather light bodied and with a thin palate for a winter brew. Little aftertaste of some malt and a faint bitterness. Storm (2677), Amager, Denmark Dec 29, 2005 50 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Reddish nut brown colour with a nice head. Very spicy aroma, lot of cinnamon and some sourness ind the smell. A very dry flavour with spicy and roasted notes.
